Nellies Custom Cakes

I recently had my baby shower and my husband ordered a cake from Nellies. It was beautifully done, everyone loved it! The best part was that it was not made of fondant which I dislike because it's so thick and sweet. The cake itself was light and and delicious. I recommend this place 100%.

I've had nellies cakes before from family members and parties but when I went to go order my own for my baby shower this was the worst customer service experience and pricing I've ever came a crossed. I'm pretty well experienced with cakes, so they wanted to price me $25 for fondant booties, $25 for a fondant ribbon, $30 for icing roses and that's just the decorations cake alone was $105. This cake came out to be $182 for 30 people. These pricing are overrated and not worth how rude and disrespectful they were to me and my friend. Never recommending them again.

I was extremely pleased with my cakes from Nellies. I had a rainbow unicorn cake and a horse cake done for my kids birthdays. Not only were they exactly like the pictures I sent from Pinterest...the cake was moist and delicious. Don't be fooled by the location...these ladies are PROS. I'll have to order cookies next time too because their shop was filled with every shape cookie you can imagine.

I wish I could put zero stars. I ordered a cake for my brothers birthday 2 weeks in advance. When I called , I was directed to email with my idea of the cake , I was called back and told how much it was going to be and that was the end of that conversation. The day it was time for me to get the cake I scaled ahead to make sure they were going to really be open and to my surprise there was no cake . First she lied and said there was no number and when I told her she actually called me back and described to her the contents of our conversation. I know that she had the number because I had to send a second email in response to my prior one with the number , and she called back very quickly . My order was placed over the phone . She said that "their policy of 25 years " was that you pay for the cake first , and that there was never an ordered placed because it wasn't paid for . She said "nobody here would've told me that " despite the fact that nobody prompted me for payment after I spoke with them on the phone . They are rude , unprofessional , extremely inconsiderate not to mention the fact that they don't take accountability for their own errors . Since she wants to say that it wasn't a honest review of the situation, I left receipts .

Our cake was not up to the expectations explained over the phone. Even after calling to confirm what I wanted, talking to someone on the phone explaining that I wanted it exactly like the picture I sent, with specific communication. Very over-priced for what we received. I will never order from here again.

They made the most adorable bunny cake for my daughters 2nd birthday! Definitely recommend.
