This place is fun to visit! It costs $1 to enter but there is always a bunch to explore. I go for the Mexican food trucks mainly. There are plenty of them so be sure to look around before deciding. Most of the shopping is junk but if you are seeking a cheap project, this is the place to go and there are plenty of options. I got a $20 Mexican Chamoy Drink with Lucas Straw. It was really good and I liked the souvenir. You pick you clay jar, and they make the drink right in front of you. They cut fresh fruit and cucumber which makes it really refreshing. It was plenty for the both of us to share.

Not my favorite. It's pretty hard with parking and a very dirty market. We are big flea market shoppers and can't say I would ever come back.

Very nice people and things to see and deals to be had but the unsanitary conditions of the restrooms are terribly and unclean which may want you to rethink bringing your girlfriend or wife.

I was driving into Raytown the long way Saturday morning but what should I see but a Swap & Shop. In this area, it's sort of a low-brow flea market that takes place in the lots of drive-in movie theaters. I've always wanted to go to one but kept forgetting. This was my chance!Let me just say that even if you don't want or need to buy anything, you've got to keep here for the people watching and just to listen in on other people's conversations. I don't know which is more entertaining. Being on the edge of Raytown and East KC, you know you're going to get the highest class of shoppers. I saw many people wearing things that should not be worn ever. But the best part is that I found out that if you paint the whole front of your house purple, in Missouri it means "No Trespassing." Overheard from an overly exuberant paranoid woman. If you like truck food, there are a bunch that sell Mexican food. Only Mexican food so if you don't like, you're SOL. But if you do, there are 4 or 5 trucks serving up some good street Mex.I probably should mention what was sold. Lots of tools, random household items, lots of new things that look like they just fell off the truck, very few antique/vintage items, all sorts of hodge podge. It's a mix of garage sale and fell-off-the-truck. Fruits and veggies when you walk in, including pecans from an OK farm, the cheapest I've ever seen them. Prices are really good and don't be afraid to bargain. Most people here (customers and sellers) do.Admission is $1 per person. Well worth it even if you walk out with nothing. The people watching, remember? Just a note that you should probably park outside and walk a minute or two. If you take your car through the gate, expect that charge to jump to $8 and the walk may be just as far. Though if you have things to get rid of, that $8 allows you to sell as well.- Wear shoes with good soles (sneakers will do). I came in ballet flats and was cursing myself every few minutes as I walked over the gravel in the lot.- Bring a hat, sunscreen, whatever. The sun is unforgiving and there is no shade.- Don't dress nice. In fact, you know that shirt with a big stain and hole in it? This is where you want to wear it. If you look like you just crawled out of a garbage can, even better. They'll charge you less.- Be prepared to spend some time. There are rows and rows of sellers. If you want to hit up most (and you should since you don't know who will have what), count on at least an hour and more likely two.Five stars all the way for the hunt (even if I only had a couple finds), the people watching (eff yeah!) and the overall atmosphere.

There are flea markets, and then there's Nate's Swap Shop. Located at the former 63rd Street Drive In, this place is HUGE. And you never know what you're going to find here. Since it sits right at the interchange of I-435 / US-350 you get people coming in to sell from all over the metro so the product mix takes diversity to a whole other level. Tools, toys, perfumes, food trucks, produce, pets, even cars and trucks and so, SO MUCH more can be found here. Admission is still dirt cheap at $1 to get in the gate. And there's always plenty of parking, just be prepared to walk a bit if the place is busy as it typically is. Bring cash as unless the vendor is using something like Square to take payments your cards are useless here. That being said if you're in Kansas City for any length of time and are exploring the city this is a place you want to check out at least once.
