The Music Hall is such an iconic KC venue. it's one of those that has been around literally forever, and despite it showing massive wear and tear, still manages to serve up some vintage charm. First thing I'll note is that parking is a pain here. If they ever do renovations to the music hall (and they should), it would be wise to include an underground dedicated parking garage. We drove around for a while before settling on our old reliable (the Cosentino's garage) and walking over. Once you get in, it's old school KC art deco in every detail, which honestly is kind of nice and enjoyable to take in. On the pro side of things you've got charm, you've got plenty of seats in the house, and it's a nice place to take in a show. On the negative side the restrooms are small and outdated, the seats super sardined in by modern standards, and no really great set up for a bar or merch table. It all feels sort of ad-hoc since when this place was built it wasn't really built for those sort of modern conveniences. Overall it's a cool spot by historic standards, but by modern standards it's not my favorite venue in town.

We visited Music Hall, Kansas City for the first time to see Jacob Collier. He is a musical genius and a very nice person. We attended the pre-concert Q&A, which wasn't really a sound check at all, but just a conversation with Jacob and incredibly delightful. His concert was magnificent and we watched him play nine different instruments during the concert. The service at this venue was lovely and we very much enjoyed the experience and cannot wait to return.

This is a small intimate theater. We love coming here. They have some good musicals that come through here.

Still love attending shows here. Really wish they could update the seating as there is no room to be comfortable. The seats in front are too close to our legs/knees, and the person sitting in front of us always has their coat or hair in our laps, and people in seats next to us are spilling into our seats. This has the potential to be an amazing venue with updated seating.

The Music Hall in Kansas City is a prominent venue that hosts a range of events, including concerts, Broadway shows, and other live performances. It is known for its elegant architectural charm with unique designs from top to bottom. It has been a cultural hub for art lovers in the city for many years. The ushers were extremely helpful assisting many people with securing their seats. Speaking of the seats, leg room, or lack there of is a tad cramp, so be sure to get up and walk around during intermission.

The Music Hall is a KC icon. I love seeing shows at this venue with its art deco style and cozy ambience this place is one of a kind. KC is lucky to have places like this. Although I will admit it's way past due for updates to the seating. That's my only complaint, I'd like to see the city invest in upkeep of our grand halls instead of adding cable cars and ferris wheels. Please KC, invest in this property, it will pay off for the long haul. Nice snacks and drinks at intermission. The employees are helpful. If you haven't seen a show here yet, what are you waiting for??

Second time to this venue and I'm not sure if I just really like the shows or the theater or both. The seats are a little snug up in the cheap seats area but that'll teach me not to plan ahead better. This time we saw Wicked, which is a review itself. The Tickets were a Christmas gift from my brother and his wife who apparently think I am an uncultured swine. They are not wrong. Fun fact....Wicked is a re-telling of The Wizard of Oz, but from a different perspective and with a few differences. I did not know this. (See uncultured swine note up above)I now know this yet remain just as uncultured. Go see it. You will like it. You will laugh. .

Be prepared to walk some stairs! A lot of them! Great solo options as there is a row of single seats. That isn't always a thing, and I appreciated that.

We saw 'Tina' and while the show itself was fantastic, this venue leaves a lot to be desired. 1. The show started 6 minutes late. Those of us who were on time would have appreciated it starting on time.2. For at least the first 45 minutes of the show, people were still coming in. At around the 35 minute mark, there was a 10 minute distraction directly in front of us because a group of 5 showed up 35 minutes late, there were people in their seats and it took 10 minutes to sort this out. Horribly unprofessional, and totally disrespectful to those of us who were in our seats at show start time.3. The seats are stacked, so you're sitting directly behind someone. Luckily the acoustics were good so I could at least hear the show, because I could only see bits and pieces of the stage, depending on the person in front of me. Maybe stagger the seats so there's a view between heads?4. Same thing after intermission, people were up to 20 minutes late getting back to their seats, I've lived in major cities, and attended live theater in several major metropolitan areas as well as smaller venues, and the doors are closed at show start time and again after intermission. This is done out of respect for those of us who know how to into our seats on time. The Music Hall would do well to adopt this type of policy. There are other, much more professional venues around Kansas City. It's really difficult to enjoy a show when half of its full of disruptions because you don't shut the doors.

I have never been to the Hall before. Even getting there early there was a long line to get in because all had to go through metal detector and there was one. Once inside there were no ushers to tell or lead you to your seat. My seat was CBAL and there were no signs directing you to where this was located. This was not an isolated experience as I heard others also complaining. Additionally my seat rated as a good view was not. I leaned out the row to see but my daughter could not. If its a crappy seat just say so.
