Murray's! A local hotspot! Fine dining in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. The chef will generally make an appearance to verify that his food is amazing, and the waitresses/waiters are top notch. For the quality of this amazing food, you'd think you'd be spending $100 a dish.... This place is that good! You will have to try it! And wear blue jeans and a t shirt, or wear a suit/cocktail dress. You'll fit in regardless!

Tuesday night at 8:30. Place was packed. Reviews seem to indicate this is THE place to eat in Columbia. Phew. It says "cozy". Cram packed is more like it. Live jazz. Nope. A piano player you could barely hear over the noise. The wait was 30 minutes. No big deal. The "waitress" in the holding pen asked us if we wanted something to drink. Each ordered a beer. $8.09. Gave her $20.25. She gave me a $10 back. That was presumptuous; she cashed us out before our table was ready. Weird. We were seated by the kitchen and bathrooms. We ordered the oysters (phenomenal!), frog legs (excellent), blue corn chip bread (garlic bread with shrimp--just meh), dinner salad with creamy peppercorn (fresh and delightful) and the southwest chicken soup (brothy and excellent with a lot of big pieces of moist chicken breast; great depth of flavor). It was plenty for us as I don't eat much. The service in the dining room was EXCELLENT! She answered questions. She was prompt with food and helped with extra napkins. We would go back for the oysters and crab legs and even the salad! The rest you can keep. Prices are very low and well worth it! We couldn't hear each other talk, let alone even think. Probably won't return.

Every year me and my wife take a two week road trip. This year we drove from Las Vegas to Pigeon Forge, TN. We encounter many places we ate out during our trip. Murry's in Columbia, Missouri is no exception. This place had the best grilled ham and cheese sandwich I've ever had in my entire life. There is not enough words that can describe just how great that ham and cheese sandwich was. My wife had the linguine and she said that was incredibly good. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is even better.

One of my favorite places to visit when in Columbia food is amazing. Fried green peppers with powdered sugar an amazing delightful simple appetizer. Friendly wait staff romantic atmosphere music both piped in and live depending on the time of day but always beautiful jazz. Love this place!

A family favorite for decades , there's no better place in Columbia to gather & enjoy from a selection of well-executed classics. The ambiance is my ideal: dimly lit, oak furniture and string lights adding subtle warmth. It's comfortable and classy and worn in; Murry's invites you to nestle in stay awhile.Try anything at all on the menu & I'm sure you'll be pleased, but be sure to start with a dinner salad with creamy peppercorn dressing. It's brought up regularly in conversation between my mom and I, we love it so much.

I have loved Murray's since I went to Mizzou 5 years ago. Every time I am in Columbia, I make an effort to go here, but it is always so busy on the weekends. So when I found myself in Columbia on a Wednesday evening, I jumped at the chance. Exactly the same as I remembered, service was amazing, food was amazing. I got the chicken poblano with a side of mashed potatoes (my personal favorite). My cousin who I was with this evening, got a French dip sandwich and he also said it was amazing. To top it all off, the vibe was so great with the live jazz music and lively atmosphere. Can't wait to come back!

Came in with a work group of 10 for drinks, appetizers and desserts. Seating was odd with a square and round table pushed together but it seemed to work in the corner as we had one no show. Very dark inside and seems dated. The service was great! Very attentive and got all our orders correct! The food was tasty and hot (if necessary) to taste. We basically ordered all the appetizers and attempted to try all the listed desserts. Mushrooms, wings, frog legs and Bobs Bobs were winners! All plates were cleaned and although our bellies were full, we did have room for dessert. Large decadent portions and glossy eyes followed. Enjoyed our afternoon meal!

I absolutely adore Marin! The atmosphere, the jazz bar, and the original classic feel. The food is very good. I always love the Greek salad and the steak kebabs. Their steak sandwich is also lovely for lunch and I always love their salmon and mashed potatoes for dinner. Definitely worth stopping by! They're usually pretty darn busy so get there early to get a great table.
