Mr. Sushi

Went here for my 2 year anniversary as this was supposed to be our original first date.The staff was super friendly and helpful. We got some sushi and had teriyaki from the stake house side. The sushi was very good and would come back again for that. However the chicken fried shrimp I got was awful. The rice tasted like soy sauce and the shrimp and chicken were so hard. Would not recommend but if you like sushi, I would highly recommend it!

We ate on the sushi side and ordered alaskan rolls to share. I had some sake and the teriyaki salmon.I have no complaints for the sushi and sake, but my salmon outright tasted like a seafood flavored nissin cup noodle. It was the most fishy tasting salmon I've had. The fried rice was missing flavor and mostly just tasted of soy sauce. The soup and salad were standard for hibachi, I enjoyed the sweetness of the salad dressing.Service was nice and welcoming. The atmosphere was also clean and up to date.I probably wouldn't go back for any hibachi because there are better and higher quality options at similar prices. But I would for the sushi.

A party of seven. We were promptly seated and beverages served within a few minutes. There was PLENTY of help at the tables and bar. Empty bowls were removed quickly. The young ladies were attentive refilling water and sodas. The salad is simply head lettuce but let me tell you, the delicious salad dressing MAKES IT! The miso soup was hot and mighty tasty. We all ordered hibachi. One mahi mahi, two chicken, two chicken & shrimp and two shrimp. Our chef was enthusiastic and entertaining. The experience was a lot of fun for all of us. And the food could NOT have been better. Portions are MASSIVE and all left with to go boxes with another serving or TWO!!We look forward to returning again soon.

I had a taste for Sushi and it was payday so I decided to stop at Mr.Sushi. Last year when I stopped in food was great well things have changed. I ordered two rolls and Crab Salad. My Rolls were horrible my Crab Salad was great. If I wasn't so sleepy I would have driven back to restaurant and returned the food.

Let me tell you about Mr. Sushi in Lees Summit - it's an absolute gem! Not only are the prices fantastic, but you get generous portions every single time. My family and I always leave with satisfied stomachs and smiles on our faces.Now, let's talk about the hibachi experience - it's hands down our favorite part. My kids absolutely love the entertaining show put on by the chefs, and it's always a blast to watch them flip and chop with precision.Sure, the decor might not be anything to write home about, but honestly, who cares? We come here for the experience and the food - and let me tell you, they never disappoint on either front.If you're looking for a great local restaurant that offers top-notch sushi and a fun hibachi experience for the whole family, look no further than Mr. Sushi. We're from California so trying to find a good sushi place out here that taste like sushi from California has been a struggle but this place here is absolutely hits the spot! Found my new spot. Their service was GREAT. Stayed on top of drink refills. Love the vibe!

There was great service. I had the hibachi and a Philly roll. It was really good and my 4 year old enjoyed the show that the chef put on. It seemed to be a clean and well taken care of establishment.

We had dinner here on a Friday night. Got seated right away at the Habachi table. Placed our order and waited for staff to do the cooking at our table. They first brought out the miso soup and salad. There is plenty of food from the habachi. I also had a side order of sushi. Food was good. Service was okay, not as attentive. We had to ask for things that they did not bring out. Giving them a three star as it is just a mediocre sushi place.

This is easily my go to for quick/great take out sushi. They're fast, very friendly and will remember your name for next time you go. The hibachi is always a hit and the steak is cooked perfectly every time I've been. Pricing is incredible for what you get, their lunch special is always going on and seriously the best pricing you'll get on rolls in the area. Service is very attentive and will deliver plates/take away very quickly/seat you very fast. The ambiance isn't the best, but with the fast, delicious, and cheap sushi, it's hard to complain too much about it. Worth a trip.

I had reservations for 6:30. I'm currently sitting here at 7:30, with no food and no table. Got our table at 8. Didn't get a chef infront of us until 9:30. Left at 10. Food isn't worth a 3 hour wait, it's very good, but I'm not gonna pay $40 per person to wait 3 hours.
