Got placed in a room next to people having an altercation into the wee hours of the morning. Motel 6 refused to refund. Save yourself the trouble and do not ever stay at a Motel 6. So done.

I find it very wrong for the front desk person to require you to walk across the street the the UMB atm, because she requires a $40 cash deposit. You can easily use my credit card just like everybody else. I feel like the owners are trying to either save on credit card fees or scam on there occupancy numbers by requiring cash payments.

MANAGEMENT = HORRIFIC ! When I say how terrible the management here is, in no way shape or form am I exaggerating! The poon jab manager has terrible customer service. He is a cheap and miserable bastard trying to take every single penny he can from you. Not to mention they're cop callers over any type of argument or disagreement you may have. For instance .. I've been staying in the hotel for over a week with my husband. It has been freezing and I drive a diesel truck. Anyone who drives a diesel truck knows the core needs to be warm in order for it to start which is why it has plugs right by the radiator so you can hook up an extension cord to warm it. my room was the last room on the corner where I didn't have to worry about any type of neighbor or cord being in the way. I would hook the truck up early early before anyone was up and walking around .. but that didn't matter for the sheer fact that management told me I wasn't allowed to hook any power cord to it because it was a liability. I explained to him it's being done in the early hours .. that in order to start my truck I need to do so Bc a jump and anything else is proven inaffective ! Still didn't matter. He told me that I needed to pay liability then and that It didn't matter Bc he wasn't allowing me to do so. My husband and I got staff infection from this hotel ! He was in the hospital over a week and had emergency hand surgery due to it! When I told housekeeping they refused to come to my room and clean. They refused me clean towels. And said I needed to keep the towels that I had previously had which were in my room for over three days w no new towels. I was refused to get into my room because when my husband was in the hospital I had came back and forgot the key. i Went to the office where they refused to give me and key and said that my husband was the one that needed to come to the office. I explained him being in the hospital .. still didn't matter. They knew we both were staying in there bc our reservation Was made for two adults. Not to mention it had already been a week at us being there. It was 3am. Cold outside and I wasn't allowed to get a new key or in my room ? The front desk and just the way this hotel is ran is pure BS. They have no respect for you. They don't care. They will try and charge you for anything and everything. If you book the room for one person know they're watching those cameras to see if you have friends and if one and I mean ONE person walks in that room you're gonna be paying for multiple ppl from that night out. Promise The deposit they make you pay isn't the same. they charged me twenty bucks last time. And then this time 40. I have never been treated this way by a hotel and I mean it's been horrible. The power went out several times which took hours to take care of. They don't shovel the sidewalks. Or put down any salt for crying out loud. The color scheme is about the only thing going for itself. Otherwise it's run down. Mersa infested, and with no guest accommodations whatsoever. One of the worst motel/hotel experiences. No joke. This motel deserves to be shut Down. It doesn't deserve even the worst tweeker to stay ! Don't give this hotel your service. They are terrible people. Con artists. And absolutely a rip off. !

I don't think so. We've stayed in a lot of motel 6's when we need a quick overnight stop on the road and it is always a hit or miss. This particular location is definitely a miss. Room - would be like the weather right now, below 0. It is filthy. Shower curtain smells like it's never been washed. The sink has green stuff stuck to it and I don't want to imagine what it is. The shower floor is stained with dark stuff and it needs a good scrubbing. Shower head is rusting bad. Come on it is like $10 to change. Obviously they do not care. Service - they were at least very friendly at the front desk which is a plus but not enough for me to come back. Last thing, the path to our room had solid ice on it that my wife slipped in. It snowed hard salt the path way that is dangerous and this was on the path on the 2nd floor.

Motel 6 KCIMaybe It just depends on each property / location, but this Motel 6 near Kansas City International Airport seems run down at first sight, like run down apartment building. Then again, first Impressions can be wrong when you step into the hotel room and find it pretty good and deemed it worthy of some good praise and some comfort. The check in process was fast, hasty, and informal. I guess that would work if you just like that sort of thing.Like the Econolodge brand, Motel 6 wants payment at the time of check in and not when you reserve a room online weeks or even months prior. That's what I like about Motel 6, since you don't have to pay for the room right away. The property has a pool, but it looked unusable, with dirty looking water. That looked pretty gross. The property was a two story block building and I got unit # 233. The room itself was nice and it had the basics: bed, TV, and shower, toilet, and sink. It's not surprising that they did not have a microwave or a mini fridge in the room. Probably that's an additional expense that would increase room rates anyhow.The bed was comfortable, so I got in an ideal 7 1/2 hour sleep here. There is no airport shuttle service here, so be advised when booking this property. Most people just either do rental car or taxi, so it was nice to not have to depend on the airport shuttle at the hotel, if available. There was no problems here, just good service - like how it should be. Although there was a slight tinge of marijuana smell that seemed to linger in the room, that was ok, i think.Plenty of restaurants, including the Zona Rosa shopping center nearby. There are plenty of decent places to eat in the airport area, but I chose to eat at McDonalds when it was feasible for me to do so. On this trip, I even picked up a mega millions lotto ticket, which was basically a not even a winner. Oh well, there always is a next time! I can't say I can recommend this property, but the rates are good if you are a budget traveler and don't mind the basics versus luxury.Playing tourist & running marathons!A

We have been a week long motorcycle trip. We've stayed in the cheapest of motels to help save on money. We found a motel 6 in Kansas City Missouri. First, we couldn't get into the lobby. Had to speak through plexiglass. That should have been the first clue. Second, we had to pay a $40 cash deposit, with no receipt. And they didn't give a receipt for the cost of the room that was charge to my credit card.Another clue. Third, they charged me for a non smoking room, the room smelled like an old ash tray. Another clue. Went to complain about the smoking room, and get a receipt, the manager, of Figi/Indian ethnicity, tells me that not giving receipts is how they operate their business. I kindly told her, that we are in America and to operate a good business you give receipts. They gave me the deposit back, and a receipt stating they returned my money to my credit card.

I came here as a last resort and now i know for sure it will never be an option for me again. There was a plumbing issue and front desk simply handed me the plunger and said to do it myself, secondly as soon as I turned on the bathroom light, roaches started scattering apart!! This place needs to be shut down for some deep cleaning or shut down for good! If I could give negative stars I would.

first off their is no hot water or heat. gave me a small space heater and said to put it in fron of my heater that WAS BROKEN. I complained mu times. The workers would not do anything about it. I was told it was because of how cold it was outside which is a bullshit excuse. Oh and to top it off I found bed bugs in my room. So now I am not a happy customer. I stayed there for a week and now I'm in fear of possibly taking bed bugs home to my house. This is a bullshit hotel will not be staying their anymore or at any motel 6 for that
