I held off writing a review for this daycare for a while, because I wanted to get some distance from the situation. Also, my child recently started at a new daycare, so I'm able to compare services and I now realize there were a lot of issues with this place. My child was 3 months old when he started. Terri was very reassuring and I felt like she would be a great child care provider. Unfortunately, she seems overwhelmed by the work of owning and operating. If I were trusting just her and the assistant director to watch my child, it would have been fine. But the staff they hired and allowed to watch children were not up to the same standard. After just a few weeks there, my child was injured by another child. It's daycare, kids can be wild - I expected an issue like this. But the communication was poor. First, I was not called despite the incident occurring hours before pick up. Next, I was told that my child 'got into a fight.' I'm sorry - he's three months old. An older child (20 months) was allowed near him and hit my child in the face. That is not a fight.Next, I was not given any documentation about the incident. When I asked for something, I was given the discipline sheet for the other child (containing all of his private information and nothing about my own child). I returned my child to the center and just two days later, at pick up, I was told again that my child was injured by the same child. They had done nothing to protect my child. My child had a massive bruise on his head, a welt on his cheek and a bloody lip.At this point, I pulled my child from the center. I also called a hotline to Children's Division. During their investigation of the center, I was informed that many of the staff members did not have background checks and were not certified in the training required of care givers. There were many other issues found at the school, all of which can be found on the MO Dept of Health and Human Services website. I suggest that you read all of these reports for yourself prior to enrolling your child here.It has been almost a year since my child was enrolled here, and I am just now becoming comfortable allowing my child back to a care facility. Now that I've started at a new school, I'm realizing how poor the communication was at Montessori Day School of BS. His daily sheet was often left blank, or with information missing. The staff that I left my child with seemed to change every day, and there were constantly new faces. Finally, I would especially caution anyone who breast feeds against this facility. My milk was often left in the fridge and he was given the backup formula I provided instead. One of the employees even told me to not leave any extra, as she believed other staff members were throwing them away. I was also told often that they felt my child had GI issues because his poops looked different than the formula fed babies. My child was the only one receiving breast milk and it seemed the staff had no protocol with how to handle the receiving, storage and giving of the milk. One day, I dropped off a full fridge safe bag of milk and when I picked him up, that milk had been sitting in the bag all day and was never moved to the fridge or given to my child. It had to be thrown out.I believe that this location has a much better preschool and older toddler program, but the infant room is not up to the same standard.Edit: after posting this, Terri reached out under the pretense of working things out. Instead, Terri repeatedly claimed the review had inaccuracies but could only point out that the school does not have cameras. I have edited this portion out of my original review. But I will say, an employee did state cameras existed. I believe this further proves employees are uneducated and have poor communication. No other inaccuracies could be identified by Terri. She had complaints about my 'tone.'I will repeat that I believe Terri would be a wonderful caregiver. But her employees do not meet the same standard. I expect she will reply to this review attempting to discredit my experiences. Everything above is true and accurate, as verified by Terri herself.

Horrible place to work and bring your kids!I was a teachers aid here for a month before I found a better offer and quit. Please take my words to heart! If you have kids here take them to another day school. It's a very unorganized unprofessional and unpleasant place to be. No official training and they take on anybody looking for a job. Also if you're looking for work they don't tell you about how you won't get paid for a whole month! They will wait until you come in for your check and tell you. They failed health inspection and will probably close down by next year. The playground was deemed unsafe for kids and they still use it.If you need to look at the violations yourself here's a link: https://healthapps.dhss.mo.gov/ChildCareSearch/ViewInspection.aspx?Inspection_ID=2362389288&LID=002038511

We love this school! My 2 year old is so excited to go every morning. She hugs her teachers before we leave in the afternoon. On the drive home, I always ask her if she had a good day, and she tells me "yes!" The teachers in the infant room take great care of my 4 month old too. They let me know right away if they have any concerns about either of my kids. We haven't had any issues with teacher turnover or the parking lot not being clear. Terri is there every afternoon when I pick the kids up, so I know I could bring any issues to her and get it taken care of timely.

Please run while you can. I was hesitant to take my child there because of reviews. But I definitely should've listened to those reviews. Like they all said Terri is never there and she is very rude. The first red flag was the first two times she showed me the daycare she lets us (including herself) walk in the toddler room with our shoes on. Saying it was we didn't have to take our shoes off. We could just walk right in. Although it was barefoot children in room. This and one other daycare was the only places that have openings in blue springs and the other was further from my house so I went with this one. My son went for a week and I found out I was pregnant and was put out of work from my job. I told her the situation she said she would think about me not having to pay since it's a thirty day notice but she wanted to see my doctor's note. Which I thought was weird and so did my doctor office. I showed her the note and brought payment for the week my son attended. She said I still have to pay which is fine because it's her establishment and her rules. What I didn't appreciate was me asking for a receipt for my payment and she didn't give me one; saying she had to go. Laughing in my face telling me no. I asked her can I have my money order back until I can get a receipt she told me no. When she told me to come up there at 1pm the day before because I couldn't come the day I called because she had a doctor's appointment. What's funny is she had a doctor's appointment the next day to so she couldn't give me my receipt. I feel like she don't know who she communicates with when she is on the phone. She seems to have doctor appointments weekly and she gets there after 11 every day and is hardly ever there for long periods of time. When my son was in daycare there he made messes on his clothes every single day. Every time I picked him up he had a new outfit on. One time I picked him up when I got to the daycare my son was crying and sniffing as if he was crying for awhile and his body was very cold. This was only three days my child was there. Reviews don't lie. I wish I would've listened to save myself the headache. Smh

After reading the terrible reviews of this school, I felt beyond compelled to leave my experience. My daughter had been with her grandma since she was born, and now at age we not only moved to a new state but also started school. Everyone was overly kind including Terri. You are given a packet up front with all the information on tuition, policies and their objectives. Terri let me pay in full on the 15th with the 10$ late fee because I'm a single mother and it would help me. She has always assured me I can call and check on my child as much as I feel I need to, you are encouraged to come in and observe at any time. It always smells nice and looks clean. The staff hasn't changed since I've started in August. My daughter loves her teachers and is excited to go every day and is learning so much, not just writing and alphabets but they cook and create and give hugs and they all really care. I think you only see the negative posts because people are so eager to complain but not enough people take the time to share when it's been good. Not to mention they offer more than just full time options and my daughter always loves the made from scratch food. I've never had an issue with the parking lot and I would and have recommended this to others. Thank you MDS for what you have done for my child and I. We are greatful+

If I could I'd give negative stars, this place is a beautiful place at first sight. The teachers work their butts off to take care of the kids, and try to please Terri (the owner) and she doesn't care about how hard you work, she doesn't care if you have a legit illness with a doctors note she'll still try to force you to come in and work. The floors in the 2 year old room are starting to decay from neglect, she doesn't like if you make a bucket of mop water to deeply clean the floors, she makes you use a push and spray o-cedar mop. There's black mold in the storage room in the infants room, and I've also been told since I've been gone that there is a mice issue. There were so many workers who were terrified to advocate for themselves, or the children because she'd threaten to sue if you caused her any issues towards her income. I have text message proof of that, I worked there the first time from may-September in 2022, and got fired off a lie, then I worked there again in October or November and I got fired on a day I had excused from the doctor because my first three days there I got pink eye, and the flu, then texted me the next day asking if I was coming in, she forgets when she has or hasn't given you important paperwork, she picks and chooses who her favorite family, and child are, and even if they show up late to pick up, or don't bring their children the things they need she doesn't enforce any rules, she lets them get by but will argue with another parent doing the same exact thing. She talks bad about your kid if she doesn't think they're cute, or if she feels like they are on a binky or bottle for too long. She pretends to like parents to their faces because she just wants the money, if her assistant isn't there to cook lunch, you're better off packing your child a lunch. The entire time I worked there, there wasn't any stability, people were running in and out the door. When I went back after getting wrongfully fired, the two year olds hadn't had a teacher in so long they barely knew any regular 2 year old curriculum. Some of them barely knew how to talk, everyone deserves a job they love, and I did love this job, up until the only good assistant had left, and everyone who was a good employee followed right behind her. She also blamed me for getting written up about not having my results to my TB test back yet, when she was the one who told me I could work that day, she does a lot of pointing fingers rather than self reflection, I hope you take my warning and you heed to it.

As a previous employee DO NOT bring your child here. Terri is charging Montessori fees for a daycare. they have no structure, no lesson plan they play all day the teachers are great don't get me wrong but they were never trained so they don't know the Montessori way. Terri never plays with the kids or interacts with them I have never seen her hold a kid the month I worked there unless she had to be in a classroom because a teacher wasn't there other than that you wouldn't see her helping in a class. I asked for a lesson plan to be made and she said she would do it and it never got done. There is also no cameras in the classrooms. Please if you care anything about your child take your kid somewhere else where they care about your child!!! And DO NOT work here the boss will talk bad about you behind your back to the other employees when you mess up or do something she doesn't like.

This has to be one of the worst daycare that I've ever witnessed and seen. But only when it comes to management and the owner of the establishment. But I will give them credit they treat their kids wonderfully. My son enjoy every second being up there but that only goes for the workers that won't even make it within a year. The owner of the establishment has a lot of issues especially when it comes to the way she treat and manage her workplace I have never seen so many people come and go from that establishment because of her disrespectful behavior. Her own pridefulness and disregard to other people is deplorable. For the fact that she is willing to lie and fire for her own enjoyment is ridiculous. I completely understand it's just a job but unfortunately getting rid of a child that has nothing to do with it the constant lie and back talk plus the threat of being sued is completely unprofessional. But honestly it's an ok daycare but as a workplace terrible owner.

I worked at this "school" for about a month! And it was the WORST month of my life ! Terri the "boss" / "owner" is awful! She never helps with the kids and is never in ratio. She has nothing to do with the kids and sits in her office pretty much all day except to go class to class to talk crap on her employees if they don't do what she likes. I went to go get my car tags renewed and I gave her a weeks notice ! Then everyday after I kept reminding her and she finally came up with a solution that didn't even make Sense before I went and did the stuff I had to do I went to go get my check and she made a big scene about writing me a check! the time I was at the dmv I kept her updated on my where about a and what I was doing and told her I will try my best to make it in! She responded with " " I will try my best to put you on the schedule next week" " Terri is very childish and very unprofessional! I would advise all parents and future staff to NOT work here ! If I could give this "school" 0 stars I would !

I can't rave about this school enough. My daughter is 3 and just moved up to Ms. Diljeet's classroom a few months ago. We've been so happy with her progress and can't wait to see how she continues to progress. We will definitely be staying until she goes to Kindergarten.
