Mom's Kitchen

Went there again this past weekend with brother and nephew. We love this place because the food is just good!! Nothing plain or simple about it.... but it's the basics done right; eggs (all styles I've had were great), sausage links or patties, ham steak, plate sized pancakes, biscuits, gravy, and more!!!The atmosphere is not why we are there... it's in an older building. They keep the place clean and service is with a smile!!!

The food was so terrible. I really felt it was a hate crime. We were sitting right next to the front door and an old couple stepped inside looked at our plates that it just been delivered and turned around and left the building.

Good: the food was good. Finally went here because of the great reviews. Lots of choices on menu, good food and serviceBad: the bathroom smelled like vomit and did not feel clean. Tables, booth, silverware, all felt old and not in a cute nostalgic way. After my trip to the bathroom I had a hard time enjoying the good food.

My favorite server Julia is today, she is outgoing positive young lady, if you haven't been here this should be on your bucket list, I have lived in Olathe for many years and never been here before until now customer talk about this place all the time, it's always busy here, this is not franchises, why do you support franchises when a mom and pop places is here, the food is excellent, grits are to die for, this is my fourth time here and each time I have something differently to eat, not a coffee person but this place is good,when you walk in the door or leave staff will say welcome or thanks for coming in, where else do you get this

The service here was amazing. Our waitress was nice and upbeat. The food comes out fast and there is no wait! I got the chicken fried chicken and the gravy was amazing! Would definitely eat here again.

Deliciousssss food! Lovely people! The vibe is so welcoming and the customers are mostly regulars, almost like everyone knows everyone here. I have seen so many people get food to-go. I love their patty melt on rye bread, biscuit and gravy, county fried chicken and frieees

I went to Mom's in the 80's and the food was incredible. Last time. I could barely hold it down. Hollandaise sauce was dripping of the edges. Pure Sysco, right out of the can. Cold and gross. My wife got a salad and they gave per packaged dressing. When we went back to our table I looked into the kitchen. All i saw were cans of premade Sysco product. This ruined my memory of how great the original homemade food use to taste at this Olathe Landmark

Excellent food with the mom's and pop atmosphere. I have been coming here for years since moving here from Germany. None of the commercialization that is so fake just good quality food.

Food was very cold. Silverware was dirty!! Our special request wasn't meet. Will net be back!!!
