MIYABI Japanese & Asian Bistro

We were craving Asian cuisine and decided to try something different than our normal staples. Here is our experience:Location: 9/10 This quaint hole-in-the-wall establishment is located off of 151st near 69. It is in an older strip mall that reminds me structurally of buildings in Branson. There is definitely a nostalgia about it that is undeniable.Customer Service: 10/10 From the servers to the people who prepped the food, everyone was very sweet and personable. We were not rushed and the staff worked together well. They always greeted customers upon entering or leaving and with a genuine smile. It was a lovely experience.A vibe: 10/10 I really enjoyed the aesthetic and atmosphere of the restaurant. I enjoyed the quaint nature and lighting of the establishment. It is on the smaller side, so during peak times you may wait for a seat. There were a few DoorDash orders as well, which contributed to the peak dinner traffic. Food: 7.75/10 Our food came out about ten minutes after ordering and it was hot and fresh. I got the beef with broccoli and my husband got the Thai basil dish. We also got spring rolls and crab Rangoon, which were both fresh and perfectly crisped. The portion sizes were generous but I did not care for the flavor of the beef and broccoli. I feel the sauce that it was cooked in was a little different for me. My husband agreed about his dish as well. I had plenty of leftovers, which reheated well and tasted better the next day. For around $60 plus tip, we felt it was a touch pricy. Overall: 9.1/10 I am on the fence if I will return or not. Though the food was flavorful and fresh, it just did not wow me as much as I thought it would. The prices were also a little high for me, but I appreciated the excellent customer service. I do recommend for you to check it out yourself and see what you think!

Solid Asian food here and they have a great lunch special (better portions and reasonably priced). The service is great and it's a cute little place in Stanley Station. One of my favorite places for Asian food! Will be back soon!

Best hidden Sushi restaurant in south OP!Been coming for years and have never been disappointed. Family owned and worth the trip. Fish is always high quality, occasionally premium specials. Once a regular, and you get to know Chef (Kevin) upon request he will order specific fish for your pleasure. I've eaten at nearly ALL KC sushi restaurants and I will continue coming...Additionally- after 4 years of coming here this place has yet to disappoint.

The Food was great and the service was excellent! I had a Large Honey Chicken Side of Fried Rice and a Sakura Sushi Roll ! I get the same thing each time it's that good! The ambiance was very nice and quiet, very dim almost makes you tired! They also have the special sushi BOATS that you can put tons on and they do a little special jig for you when you purchase one! A+ recommend !!

Nice, clean restaurant with welcoming staff. We were greeted and seated immediately on a Friday at lunch time. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but the decor is updated and everything looks tidy. Our server was attentive but didn't hover. We ordered two bento boxes, one with sesame chicken and the other with beef and broccoli. The Crab Rangoon is phenomenal and some of my favorite in a long time. The egg drop and wonton soup has me dreaming, I couldn't get enough. I can't wait to go back for more! You must try this yummy place soon.

Really enjoyed this place! The food was fresh, the restaurant was extremely clean and the servers were very attentive.

Service was fast. Lunch specials were great. They included soup and salad with the entrees. The shashimi was divine. And the amount of roll offerings were extensive.

Service was great. But food was just ok. We ordered a few things, seaweed salad, edamame, sushi appetizer, spicy tuna, moo shoo pork and hot sake. I was hoping it to be fantastic with the place have 4.5 stars but I think they deserve a 3.5 stars. Maybe I'll give it another try one day.

I tried this place for the first time the other day. I was curious about their sushi so I played it safe and ordered a salmon avocado and a tuna avocado and it was delicious and fresh! I also got a side of fried rice which was delicious as well. I'd go back!
