This place is a must if you're passing through Reading. We travel out to Emporia every year and come to Reading so see where our family used to live. We always stop at the Miracle Cafe and enjoy the food and the people. You have to plan your visit though as they are open from 9-3 during the week. But the burgers and BLTs are worth it!

Five stars! But hold the phone, here's why....its the best restaurant in Reading, #1 of 1 lol. The food is ok and prices are great. Staff/family are extremely nice and it was a quick experience. Definitely amazing food in a pinch. Definitely a must eat if you're hungry and dont want to travel outside of Reading. The little town there is super cool too.

The Miracle Cafe is just that. Thanks to Reta and Gene for rebuilding this place after the tornado. It is exactly what Reading needs. The grilled cheese are amazing. The BBQ beef is yummy but messy. My dad enjoyed their pies and cinnamon rolls so we make sure to stop in for pies or cinnamon rolls when we are in town. It's nice to have a locally owned place to eat from and not have to be dependent on the chains in Emporia or Osage City. The walls are filled with memorabilia about Reading, KS.
