When someone comes to Kansas City for the first time and asks 'Where should I get pizza?', a nickel says half the answers would come back 'Minsky's'. It's a KC mainstay and they're spread across the metro so downtowners and suburbanites alike can partake.One of the anchor tenants to the River Market, this location is a throwback to historic bars/sports bars meshed with great pizza. And before you wrassle over pizza preferences, just know this is a five-star pie. The crust options vary to your liking, but I recommend the OG crust and load it up, because this crust can hold some toppings. Pro tip: get extra sauce, savory and tangy, and it works so well with their mozzarella blend.But this spot, just like their satellite locations, offers more than just pizza. Their pasta and sandwich game is definitely worth a look, and while it's pizza-ish, get the cheesy breadsticks to start and thank yourself. There are ginormous screens for viewing sportsball, and this spot will fill up on weekends or other sportsy times like the Big 12 tourney, but the sightlines are great. Throw in a full bar and drink specials and you have lots to choose from.Parking is, well, River Market, but this spot is just steps from a KC streetcar stop, so that's an option. Pricing is pretty standard for the area, but the value outpaces those prices. Sometimes you can wait a bit in this location, due to crowds or whatever, but the pizza is worth it. And when someone asks where you had pizza in KC and you answer 'Minsky's', then they'll give you that knowing look that you made a great choice.

Great place to catch a game and eat amazing pizza! Staff were prompt, friendly and checked in regularly. But the best part is the original pizza. Medium combo was hot, cheesy and delicious!

This place is really nice. We ordered pizza. It's better to serve the salad dressing separately because it's quite sour. For the pizza, the flavor of cilantro is just not very prominent. The cheese is delicious!

Minskys is one of my favorites for pizza. They brought back the Joes KC BBQ pizza and I had to snag one. I placed an online order. It was ready on time and accurate. From order to pickup, the process was seamless. The Joes KC BBQ pizza comes back occasionally and while I don't really like bbq pizza, this is one I'll make an exception for. It features Joe's KC smoked pork, brisket & burnt ends, Joe's original BBQ sauce & Joe's French fry seasoning. And it comes with a side of pickles. It's always full of delicious bbq and the bbq sauce isn't too overwhelming. I definitely recommend trying it when they have it. I also ordered the cheesy breadsticks and a side of ranch. The breadsticks were good and had plenty of cheese. The roasted marinara was a great compliment. I ordered the side of ranch because they sell bottles of their ranch dressing and I hadn't tried it. It was also good but I don't feel like I need a bottle of it. Definitely check them out if you're in the City Market!

The Cheesebuger and Joe's pizza, true to its name, offered a delightful blend of flavors that left my taste buds dancing. To kick-start the meal, I indulged in a tantalizing appetizer of garlic cheese bread adorned with pepperoni and salami, setting the perfect tone for the delightful dining experience that followed.

Visiting Kansas City and this pizza spot was on the street car route that stopped in the City Matket area.. Sat at the bar, and ordered a few of the post July 4th specialty drinks. The bartender was helpful and nice. We didn't eat anything because we just came from a restaurant, but enjoyed sitting and drinking.

Despite the fact that I have high sensitivities to dairy, Minsky's doesn't make me sacrifice quality or taste!! With highly personable skilled staff guiding me through the menu, I was able to settle for the perfect Dairy-Free pizza!! Since all meals are freshly prepared on order, the wait was eased by the more than welcoming atmosphere which offered open seating both in and outdoor.

Mac and cheese pizza was good. That's it. Waitress forgot to put our wings in and ended up giving us the wrong sauce (bbq instead of Buffalo) and we didn't receive it until we were done eating. Some of our wings were pink and manager explained it's not undercooked just a process and it's just the arteries. They took wings off our tickets so we're thankful for that. Wings had wayyy too much sauce but everyone has their own preferences. Food looks pretty but wasn't something we liked.
