At first I was shocked that a city as small as Riverside had a library. Literally, Riverside is one of those one stop light towns. There isn't much of anything in Riverside. Imagine my shock at finding out this small town had a library! This is a very nice library, as well. It is very well stocked and, apparently, part of the Kansas City, Missouri library system. I am a Kansas resident so I could not get a library card but no matter. I enjoyed the atmosphere very much. They have a very wide selection at the Mid-Continent Public Library. They had a vast collection of materials. They also have inter-library loan programs through their system. A patron would not want for materials of all kinds at this library. They had all different types of media available for use or check out. This is a terrific resource. The tables and study desks were very comfortable and no one seemed bothered that I camped out here for a day. This was a nice, quiet place to study and reflect. Riverside is lucky to have this establishment.I did not interact much with staff on my visit but they seemed nice and pleasant. They also seemed happy which is always something I look for in employees. They helped a great number of people and were always busy. Parking and access were easy, too. There is a huge private lot in front of the library so no worries. This is also an easy access library. It's nice to be hassle free when visiting.Great library, large collections and comfortable areas.

Great library services and quiet atmosphere. Good for studying or finding a good book to read! The staff are friendly and helpful. Small branch of Mid-Continent, but a renowned library system. Can get items from any of the over 30 branches! Or order them in using inter-library loan from across the country! They also have useful and fun programming for all ages. This is a great place to start taking your children every week to get them to be lifelong readers. The library is probably one of my favorite places on earth. They have public use computers and free wifi.

As a Virgo I am so drawn to librarians that my horoscope unsubtly hints that I must become a librarian. Maybe some day. This is not the JoCo library with all of its bells and whistles. This library caters to a small community in so many ways. At any time I can walk in and get internet access, the most I've ever waited was 5 minutes. My husband has been able to use their proctor services for his online classes, we've registered to vote there, had things notarized and got tax information. It's a small library but they have always been able to get me any book I've wanted. My brother in law has been able to check out super rare art books from them as well. Their inter-library loan is better than the one we had in college. My strategy for library going is to descend upon a few different rows and pick books randomly, as I would like to know everything about everything. The librarians know this and have even offered suggestions. Also, it's very kid friendly and an awesome part of our community.

Our library is an invaluable resource to the community. The are always well staffed and open 6 days a week. If I can't locate something the staff always goes above and beyond to try and help me find it. They are knowledgeable about the libraries computer resources and are very patient when explaining things.

The few times I've been to this library the staff has been rude, even once acting snobby and giving the impression that they have better things to do, and have not taken their job(s) seriously. They're more in to their gossip and in to themselves than wanting to help visitors find what they're looking for or react how they should.
