Metcalf Discount Liquor

I love this place! Friendly service, fair prices, good selection, always some store picks, and they put allocated stuff right on the shelf - not in the back room for "regulars" and fair prices. Today I just happened to walk in when they were putting Knob Creek 18 out. On my last trip Larceny BP was out and I often find my favorite ECBP here. I don't live here but when I visit this is my first and favorite stop!

Beer is cheaper at Hen House Market next door. They should at least try to be a competitor.

Paid for my purchase and asked to buy Red Bull which is sold in a separate part of the store bc of state law. It was 10:58. They close at 11:00. Whoever was in charge wouldn't walk 5 steps and cash out the Red Bull. It would have take 30 seconds. Pathetic customer service. I should have asked for a refund for my other purchases.

Competitive prices, huge selection and excellent customer service -- despite being slammed on Christmas Eve. Definitely helped get me through the holidays! The guy assisting us threw in a cigar cutter after he heard my partner in crime on the liquor run is a Marine.

This is the best liquor store in south Johnson County in my opinion. Way cheaper that Lukas Liquor and everywhere else I've been to, the service is always very friendly and helpful, the store is very clean and always fully stocked, and the store itself is HUGE- aka they have just about anything you could imagine. (Especially the wine and beer selection! As a lover of both a good brew and a good Merlot, my first time in was like a 21+ kid in an adult candy shop!) If I can't find it here, I pretty much give up, and if I ever find it cheaper anywhere else... we'll that probably won't ever happen so we will cross that bridge when we get there, eh?

Good service. Was looking for 2022 California Zinfandel and found a more than adequate selection.

Came in to grab a bottle of wine, and the first thing the lady said was you have one minute exactly to get something and we're closed. she had a terrible attitude. terrible customer service. first and last time ever coming here.

Employees are very rude. I have never wrote a review in my life, but my experience today was so bad I had too. I have been here more than once, and the black lady employee on the cash register has a very poor attitude, I will not be back.

I love this store! The guys that work here are so helpful, kind and knowledgeable! From one stressed out mama trying to shop for her husband, they completely helped me figure out the gifts I needed and within my budget. I went to other stores prior to ending up here, and they were so overwhelming with no help in site. This place was so greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!
