It's an event space and back in the day there were concerts, Ozark Mountain Daredevils 1973, Styx 1977, Jimmy Buffet 1978, Adam Ant - Stray Cats 1983, Tears for Fears 1985, you get the array of music going through there. It's small compared to where the shows are these days, it's hasn't been taken care of also not sure what else they use it for except for.........February 2025 recently went to see the Kansas City Roller Warriors, flat track Roller Derby there. They've been rolling it out with visiting teams since 2004. It was a lot of fun, family oriented and they won 185 to 78 KCROLLERWARRIOR.ORG

We come here often for traveling shows. This place really needs updated. Especially the seats. Small, no leg room and uncomfortable. Nice location downtown so you can find parking easily and places to eat before or after show.

Came here for a conference which had speakers. For a group of 1500 people things ran smoothly and the speakers were easy to hear. The parking was a bit of an issue. For such a large group they didn't have enough parking spaces. Still not sure why the parking garage across the street isn't open to make money. We had to park on the street and hike in.

It had street parking which made it difficult since it's next to 7th Street Casino and it on a busy street. The building was old and it internally could use a facelift. It had old basketball seats surrounding what I'd assume a theater stage. I wasn't impressed but it did the purpose of a roller derby rink.

Despite having lived close to the venue most of my life, I've only visited here just recently to watch the Kansas City Roller Warriors play flat track roller derby. For roller derby, this is a good choice as provides a level of intimacy necessary for this type of event. The best sight lines are downstairs for watching floor events.Outside of the arena itself, space is cramped. If you have accessibility issues, this will be a challenge. Some of the restrooms actually have a flight of steps going down.Concession is standard: hot dogs, burgers, some sides, though beer and mixed drinks are available. All are price-pointed at typical levels for venues.
