Mediterranean Market

After reading a few other reviews for this place, I'm going to piggyback off those and say this is the best gyro in town. My favorite is the chicken gyro. It's piping hot when it's served and the ingredients are all fresh - tomato, onion, and lettuce. The service is quick while being fairly priced. I also love to shop around to see what imported items they have on hand .

Great little spot. We picked up a few chicken gyros that were delicious and very reasonably priced! The falafel was amazing. The market itself has food items and produce for quick shopping. Definitely will be coming back again whenever I want a gyro fix!

I don't know what the hype is all about. The gyros, chicken shawarma, and falafel were all just average at best and totally underwhelming. The best thing on the menu was the lentil soup. If you want inexpensive average food this is the place

I think this is the best Gyro in the city. And there are a LOT of good gyros here!I've shopped here a few times before and today was hoping/thinking they'd have orange blossom water, plus was also ravenous... This gyro is exactly what I needed. Fresh, hot meat. Crisp onions and lettuce and actually ripe tomatoes. Lots of lovely tzatziki. Fresh, chewy, warm naan.And I had to try the pistachio baklava so I have a baseline to consider when making my baklava rice krispie treats (which is what the orange blossom water is for). Next trip I'm diving into one of their Mediterranean pizzas...

My first visit with some friends was amazing! Their market was full of authentic ingredients. Very small eating area but we just pulled a couple of tables together. I was surprised to see pizza on the menu but got their Falafel Hummus Wrap this time. It was very good! I also had the cheese baklava. So yummy and not overly sweet which I appreciate. I will definitely go there again to try their pizza!

Excellent Gyro (Beef/Lamb) delicious Gyro Service was quick and efficientAmbiance is Deli-Style and there is a small convenience store and place to buy fresh produce/fruit.

The walnut baklava is scrumptious!The baba ghanouj is good but very spicy.Tabouleh is good, I add a little salt.Staff is gracious. Great little restaurant/market combo.Eager to come back and try more dishes!

I'm seeing positive reviews for customer service...wish I could agree; but after spending $30+ for carry-out - house made tabbouleh and several grocery items to make a middle eastern feast at home; I left feeling a bit under appreciated as a customer.I asked the young guy ringing me up if they had Zalabiyeh, a dessert that I haven't found in KC in a few years. He had no idea what it was, so I described it and received a 'we don't have it". I then asked if they had any leads on where i might find some. Instead of asking the people in the prep area that might actually know, he just said "No" and walked off. No excuse for not even trying. Enjoy the $30, cause I won't be spending anymore here. Plenty of great Mediterranean restaurants and markets around town to settle for such dismissive service.

I can only speak for the food, because I rarely shop for groceries here except for the pita and babaganush. I love to support local, especially when the service and food are phenomenal. I always order the falafel wrap and I'm never disappointed. I also suggested taking a look at the candy by the register, cheap and tasty.

They served me well and were very accommodating. They were very specific with how I wanted to be served when I said I was dining in, rather than having it to-go and verified if I wanted the dressing on my salad or on the side.
