Such a gem in downtown OP! My family and I like to get a 3-month membership in the chilly months because the hot tub and sauna feel so good after working out. My kids love the lazy river and slide. It has a zero entry pool and splash area for the little kids too. Classes do cost extra but the prices are very reasonable. They also have lovely community rooms and spaces available for birthday parties and any other events. Staff members are always kind and helpful. Shout out to Steve at the front desk and Rosemary the life guard!

We went to the explorer room with our 19 month old to play inside on an extremely cold day and truly the best decision. The staff was so nice, play equipment was great, and had a view of the amazing pool they have there. The facilities are beautiful, clean, and inviting. It was busy but didn't feel crowded. Definitely will return to try more of the place. Happy playing!

My daughter is old enough to swim so I decided to buy a day pass for $7 to see if it's something we can get into to get out of the house during the cold season. After a week I decided to buy a membership and now we have been going a few days a week. They have a kids pool with a big slide, lap pool, hot tub and a wet/dry sauna, Plus they have a gym & basketball courts.I am glad I we started going here, now we can plan activities.

As a Community Center, Matt Ross is doing it right. I used to work around here and worked out during the evening rush most weekdays and it was always pretty great. If you live in OP specifically, the family plans are where it's at and are fairly priced. There's parking all around, the gym is nice enough with tracks, lots of cardio equipment, and natural light coming through. Beneath one of the track areas are basketball courts that are almost always occupied. The weight area was just OK, kind of lacking overall as they focus more on fitness machines vs free weights. Since this winter simply won't let up, we decided to spend a day off here so that my almost two year old could get some playtime in the water. We bought day passes ($7 per person, free under 2) and brought our own towels which was a good move as they don't offer them here. The pool experience was overall positive. My daughter LOVES the water, so it was fun splashing around, flying through the lazy river with her, and watching her do the little kids slide on a seemingly endless loop. I will say, this was a holiday in February so the pool was packed. PACKED. Like move your arm, hit a kid packed. Would definitely recommend coming when it's quieter as it's kind of overwhelming. My only real knock? It was cold in there. I know it's February, but the overall air temp in the pool room was pretty chilly. The water felt good at 86 degrees, but we all started shivering when out of the water for a bit. Also the facility is pretty big, but a lot of it is just offices and conference rooms. We used these for work in the past and they're pretty blah, no character whatsoever. But they're there. TL;DR; Matt Ross is a good community center that's clean, affordable, and accessible. Their gym and pool areas are nice, but the back half is just typical conference rooms and event spaces.

Matt Ross feels like a well kept secret. Great employees, great location, and wonderful group fitness classes. It's very reasonably priced as well. The cycling classes are my favorite! Wendi and Cathy do an awesome job!

I LOVE THIS GYM. It's super inexpensive. The staff is very nice and welcoming. I want to mention one fantastic staff member, Steve. He is always so nice, helpful, and greets me by my name. I love spending time here either playing basketball or lifting. My only complaints are I wish there were more squat racks in the weight room. As well as a more open area to do more explosive exercises. I also wish that they were open longer because I would love to spend my Saturday nights playing pick-up basketball at the gym.

I recently gave a baby shower atMatt Ross. It was a wonderful experience except for an associate named Michelle. She was very rude. I was told I could use the easel for the welcome sign in hallway & was informed by Michelle there was a $15 charge the day of the shower. I didn't mind the charge but did mind her rude behavior. She came to me during the shower & asked that I come now to pay the $15. I told her I would pay when shower was over since I was giving it. She said very hatefully to pay by the time she left at 4. I agreed to do that. She walked by the door several times looking in & once even told my friend attending the shower to send me down to pay the $15. So during the shower I went to pay so she would leave me alone & Robert who was very nice said not to worry about it. He also brought me a large trash can to pick up trash. Kelly who helped me with making the reservation was very nice & helpful. I called on Monday morning to see if I left some linen bagsIn the closet for rented table cloths &again Kelly was rude & told me I left trash in the closet. I forgot to throw away hangers & plastic bags. My husband went in & discarded the trash & picked up linen bags. I apologized to Robert for forgetting that & he said noproblem. I would recommend MattRoss for your event but steer clear of Michelle. They advised me that coaching with her would be handled. I don't mind paying money for the extras but don't appreciate being treated rudely. So overall except for Michele was a good experience!

at like 6:15 pm on Thursday dec 11 a blonde haired lady came down and very rudely ended a game of basketball going on. i got there at 5 and there was full court games goin on which I guess is against the rules... she came down pissed and started saying whoever moved some sign was gonna get banned. when I was leaving she tried to accuse me, who got their after the games started, of moving this sign. and saying that I'm gonna be banned. I've been a member for over 5 years now and this year in particular the staff have been unpleasant. if you're not a senior citizen it seems like the staff just don't wanna see you there , it's weird man. if you're a hooper Matt Ross is no longer the move. theres a few cool guys that work at Matt Ross don't get me wrong. some really cool people I've gotten to know a little bit over the years. but the bad ones leave the lasting impression
