Master H C Kim's World Class Tae Kwon Do Center

My 9 year old son has been attending classes here for about 3 weeks now, and he loves it! He's usually very timid and shy in other sports he's been into like soccer, basketball, etc.. But for some reason, he just loves it here. We signed up my son after his first class since we saw how enthusiastic he was about it. I'm glad we did since we see the joy on his face every time he comes to class. The instructors are what makes the classes so enjoyable for him. They just know how to handle the kids in a great manner and teach them without being condescending. It's just been 3 weeks and my son is so much more confident. The instructors not only teach him tae kwon do, but they teach respect and manners as well. We love it here! They were very thorough with the sign up process, and prices are comparable to other places. They make it easy for us to check updates and schedules through their app that you download on your cell phone. The place is very clean and tidy, and the instructors and kids do wear masks for now.

Master H C Kim has a great rapport with his students and has the perfect personality for effectively teaching every class! The life skills and values that Master Kim and his staff implore on their students are invaluable and strongly reflected in their own actions on the class floor as well as outside of class. I strongly recommend that anyone who is seeking to learn Tae Kwon Do or start a fun family activity, visit Master H C Kim's Tae Kwon Do Center for an experience you will carry with you for life!

If your kid has any other activities, don't go here. They are very last minute on dates for testing and not willing to work with you. There are way better options. Don't fall for it. Wish we hadn't. Can't wait to be done with the year long contract. It's all about trapping you in hidden fees with testing and required gear.

Very nice couple run the place and they are fantastic with kids! That said, shop around because at $139/month plus $99 enrollment fee plus $103 in sparring gear they are the more expensive side. I personally did not appreciate the pushy car salesman approach to selling TKD classes. For example, "if you sign up right now the enrollment fee we'll be waived". Best of luck.

My kids really enjoy this center. The instructors are really good. It is a little on the expensive side but well worth it.

H C Kim has the nastiest attitude I've ever witnessed; My friend and I went to ask general questions for his 3 younger sisters, and he kept dodging questions, snapping an attitude, kept saying ridiculous crap. My friend and I even bowed to him out of respect and he brushed it off with arrogance. we also asked him about his curricular programs, his background on where he trained and his response was: "I'd tell you but you won't be able to know how to pronounce it since i'm from south Korea". We were not trying to instigate anything, yet he spent the majority of the time being rude. He never showed the courtesy to ask us questions if we had martial arts background so my pal offered to tell him his background and master Kim had the nerve to shrug it off, so we continue asking a few more questions such as information on their self defense program and dodged another question. This man wasn't by any means humble, and discriminates you based on skin color. When i begin to ask my QUESTION he was dead silent and willing to listen because i was ASIAN. His rude behavior not only answered all of the questions i had for him, but was a clear indicator that these people only care about milking you out of your money and do not value training their students to DEFEND themselves in a REAL situation.

I enrolled my daughter at Master HC Kim's in October of 2014. Initially she did not want to do Tae Kwon Do but agreed to try it, because I thought she would enjoy it. She fell in love immediately with not only the training but also the instructors. The self-confidence she has developed through her training, as well as the improvement in her physical strength has been more than I ever could have hoped. In June of last year my daughter asked me to try out the program during family month. I was able to try out the training for a month and knew 1/2 way through the trial month that I loved the training, focus and discipline they provided me. I moved forward with signing up and have not regretted it for a moment. The Master pushes me to improve my physical training as well as my self-discipline. Part of why I enjoy this program and the training from our Master is because he not only teaches us in class, but he also teaches both of us how to apply the discipline, focus and self-confidence in our day-to-day life. When I initially signed up my daughter for the program, all of the monthly and future equipment/testing fees were explained to me in detail. It seemed a little high to me but I knew the personal focus and interaction she received from not only Master Kim but also from Mrs. Kim and all of the other instructors would benefit her in her training. I was not wrong, it has been worth every penny. Master Kim is the main instructor and teaches most if not all classes. The other instructors are there to help him and are very knowledgeable and willing to help or answer questions any time. When I signed up last summer, Mrs. Kim sat with me and went over all of the fees in detail again... Even though I new what to expect from watching my daughter for almost 10 months. She made sure I knew exactly what I was signing up for, explained any exceptions and allowed me to ask questions about my own personal concerns. I take a lot of pride in being part of this Tae Kwon Do family. This is because Master Kim and Mrs. Kim take a personal interest in us and make sure our training is focused on our individual needs while making sure we receive a very high-quality training. I know both my life and my daughter's life have been impacted in a very positive way from the training we receive here. Thank you Master Kim and Mrs. Kim.

Great facility and program for the Little Tigers. The program is well structured and our daughter has learned so much in her class. We were surprised with her ability to pick up the Korean terminology so fast but with great instructors it came natural. There has been a noticeable improvement in her self esteem and focus. I feel it's helping her learn to be a leader. Her physical self awareness is improving along with her strength and balance. Again I must praise the instructors who all do their best to teach children in a highly positive way and with genuine smiles. The families we have met at the program are also very sweet and it feels like a great community we have become a part of. We were sold on the first private lesson! She has learned so much since and most importantly understands rewards are not just given but must be earned. She works hard and practices her lessons at home so she can enjoy the pride that comes with earning tips and belts.
