Going to this place for valentine's day was the perfect choice!!! Although we did not get the valentines special, we did order the carne pizza and the cheese bread which was absolutely delicious! The server was extremely friendly and fast with our drinks. Since it was valentine's day, it was pretty crowded so we got seated in the back room with a plastic cover as a wall. But, we were right next to the fireplace so we were warm! i think this is a reasonably priced place with great food and great service!

I have been here multiple times and the service, food, and beer are great. Its an easy going environment and they are consistent every time. People are always surprised how good their pizzas are when I bring them in. I have had multiple food items and I met one of the chefs and I know he takes pride in his creations in the kitchen. I would definitely check it out if you haven't been.

Brewery Babe! Now, I have been well acquainted with Martin City's beers, such as the Hardway IPA, for years, but I had never stepped foot in their Taproom or tried their pizza. Until now. And man, am I happy I did because it's an experience all itself, the pizza may even be better than the beer. (That's still up for debate) I decided to visit the OG Martin City mostly because I signed up for their membership through 5-star 365 and because I knew I already enjoyed their beer. The original location is in Martin City, if that wasn't obvious by its namesake but moving on. Theinside of the taproom itself wasn't too large however, they did seem to have a large outdoor patio that I didn't get a chance to see. It's definitely a family-friendly vibe, aka casual - nothing too stuffy, exactly what you'd want in a pizza and beer joint. The menu boasts red sauce pizza creations as well as a larger portion of the menu that houses less traditional pizzas as well as ones with an alfredo sauce base. I went with one of the latter options and chose a pizza that had white sauce as well as apple, for a sweet and savory combo, and sausage. The crunch on this pizza again took note of the perfection of sweet things mixed with salty and paired candied crushed pecans on top of all the melty gooey cheese and garlicky alfredo base. This was such a winner of a combination, but it also was very rich, so after two pieces and a pint of beer, I was beyond satisfied. (And had a lunch for tomorrow) The wait time on the pizzas was quick since it's obvious these are fired to order in a specialty pizza oven. Even with a pretty packed restaurant, we ordered our beers and pizza at the same time and barely had time to sip our beers before the pizza arrived at our table! I will definitely be back, potentially month to month, to use my membership and try some more of the traditional as well as unique pizzas on the menu. It's just a bonus it can be enjoyed with a freshly brewed local beer!

One of the very first restaurants I ever reviewed back when they first opened in 2011! I can't believe it's been THAT long. Now with 5 locations they are a Kansas City staple. Here's what I love about Martin City Pizza & Taproom: Lunch Special - weekdays 11-3 - pizza & salad. I love that it's your choice of speciality pizza, not just a topping. The Philly cheesesteak pizza with fresh Philly beef, plenty of cheese, great taste and a good solid crust makes this pizza superb. Happy Hour - Sunday - Friday 3-6pm. Drink specials and food favorites. Chicken wings were juicy and tender. I tried the Buffalo and Thai Glaze. Amazing sauce and bursting with flavor. The garlic stuffed cheese bread was delicious.Friendly servers offering quick service. Perfect spot to dine & unwind.

Neat little spot! Love the outside patio area. There were a lot of neat options as far as the menu. So many unique pizzas I wanted to try but ended up getting the el pastor pizza. It was really good! Very unique. Wasn't the best thing I've ever had but would definitely come back to try the other pizzas. Even the crust tasted great! The parking is marked across the street.

Came for happy hour with a group and we sat outside on the covered patio with it's own fireplace. Cool space with ceiling fans and murals. Tried a few appetizers and everything was good. I asked what were the wine happy hour specials and was told house wine was $4. Server started rattling off varieties and I chose Pinot Grigio. Later when we got the bill my wine was $7. I called him back over and asked him to correct that. He was pretty smug and just said "you didn't choose a house wine". I probably should have asked for a manager but I didn't want to make a scene in front of my friends for a few bucks, but it was not a good ending to a fun evening.

This place was not super busy when we walked in. The drink options are good and we ended up just getting food here versus going down the street to another restaurant that was more formal. The rib tips happy or a regular portion or hit. The Caesar salad was good and the three pizzas closed the night. The staff was attentive and the place was very clean and orderly. While the TVs were on, it didn't necessarily feel like a sports bar per se. This was a good place to have an end of day get together with people from work.

I've been here many times for different occasions: happy out after work, first dates, consistent date nights, after finishing up a rec game, etc. -- and the service and atmosphere is always consistent, friendly, and enjoyable. The patio section is great in the summer evenings/fall, great for families or larger parties. Inside the have a mix of hightop and regular tables as well as a decent size bar that is easy to find a seat at and always good for convo if you're into chatting with people. The food and drink are delicious and consistent and typically come out quickly even in the busy times. They also have live music at times as well. Overall enjoyable for any age/group.

This place used to be somewhat of a hidden gem tucked away in Martin City, but not anymore. Every time I come here, it is busy. It is great to see. I also love seeing the other MCBC locations popping up around the KC area. This place has some of my favorite pizzas in town. The Thai Chicken is one of my favorites. I also really love their Carne. On my last visit, I tried the wings. I thought they were good, but not nearly as good as the pizza. The beer selection is really good, but I find the lists and boards to often be outdated. I feel like they are typically out of whatever my first choice is. My girlfriend really likes their Yoga Pants, which is one of their flagships. I see it at every liquor store in town. They were out of it on our last visit.
