We came to check this place out at the Waldo location and are SO GLAD we did!!The business offers free wine tastings, so we were excitedabout that! I highly recommend making reservations as they only have a few tables and they were busy when we arrived. Super glad we reserved a table. I took my husband and adult children and we had a blast!Nate was so incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, we had such a great time and will definitely be taking friends with us soon! I bought a few additional bottles as we really loved the Tannat and Orlegi. We are red wine lovers so those were our favorites. Although the bubbles were petty amazing also. This was such a great experience for wine lovers and I highly recommend to all who enjoy good wine!

OMG! This is a must place to go. I am generally a hard sell; however, I recommend. I'm a taster when it comes to trying alcohol and which is why I love a brewery when it comes to trying. You generally don't get the experience of trying a wine before you purchase and when you do buy an unfamiliar wine then you're either unsure or your brain seems foggy of what you had purchase/ where. I'm always hesitant when it comes to wine to try. I'm no connoisseur, but Marco Polo has made me a believer in my taste buds when it comes to wine.The owners wife is the one who helped us in man. She may eat our experience so welcoming. She was funny and very inviting, which helped with the flow of our experience.

This was an amazing experience! I booked it online for a Wednesday and there was tons of availability. Then something came up and I had to swap it to Thursday and their booking system made that SO EASY! And just be aware that when you book and get the confirmation email it will say that it's a 30min slot, but you are allowed stay until the table is next booked.The wines were outstanding! They only work with international labels and their variety... I just can't tell you how impressive it was. I was blown away by some of the grapes I'd never tried before. It definitely opened my eyes to the selection from Eastern Europe.I brought two friends and we each walked away with two bottles. We will definitely be back! I'm excited to come for some of the upcoming vineyard reps or specialty nights.

Marco Polo Selections is a hidden gem in the Waldo area. If you've never been put it on your list to try. May, the owner, started out by explaining the wines he has rhen we all had a taste of five different wine's. I don't care too much for bubbly but when we got to the whites and reds, I couldn't believe how delicious they were. Each of us went home with bottles of wine and will definitely be back and frequent the establishment.

Ambiance is superb. Wine selection is unique. Service is friendly and accommodating. This wine bar is tucked away in a small space behind the plaza that houses Waldo Pizza. It's not very easy to get to by car, so if the side street is full, the Aldi lot has some extra parking spots. We arrived a little later in the day, close to their closing time but Laurie was super nice to let us enjoy a flight and had some wonderful conversations with us. She described to us where the wines came from based on the owner's connections. Truly unique selections. We will be back to try more of their offerings. If you're closer to Olathe, they also have a location down there.

Went here last night with a small group. We were able to bring in our own Charcuterie and tasted 4 wines. The owner, Nate is funny, personable and knowledgeable. Wine tastings are free, but booking ahead is recommended. Wines range from $13-30. The selection is unique and mostly imported from small growers. I can't wait to back.

Wine drinkers and those to just want to learn @marcopoloselections is the place for you. Free wine tasting of 4-5 wines that Nate picks from what he has in stock that week. Nate is bring in wine from outside the US from family owned, small producers. The wines we have tried and purchased have been wonderful. The price points for almost everything is under $40. From the tasting Nate will guide you to pick wine to take home or he will put together a "six pack" for you. Waldo is lucky to have this unique wine shop.

I attended a private party wine tasting with Nate and actually had no intention of drinking. However his passion, excitement, knowledge and interpretations of wine made me excited to taste it! I ended up finding a new favorite wine - A Sav Franc! I dropped in the shop a few days later to pick up a few bottles and found the ambiance inviting, chic and unpretentious. Nate is super friendly and engages in interesting conversation. The service is great!Will definitely be hosting some wine tastings there soon!!

Great little wine store. Perfect place for people who like wine but don't know how to buy it. The owners, Nate & Talia, are so nice and welcoming and they really know their stuff! In an industry that's typically very snooty, this place is anything but! It's great for out of town guests, girls night, or just dropping in with the hubby for a quick date.
