I'm a fan of the Made in KC concept and I absolutely love that there is one here in PV, for a long time this was the closest location to my house and therefore was and is a semi regular stop for me when I'm shopping for a quick gift. This location is a bit on the small side for Made in KC spots so with that in mind you're not going to find quite as much of a selection here as you would on the Plaza. Last time I was in I did find some great bbq rubs, and condiments to add some local pizazz to my husband's valentines gift though so it was a win! I will say, if you have the time it might be worth it to venture to their flagship location or to one that might have a bit more to take in. While I think they do a great job with the amount of retail space here they just can't keep it as thoroughly stocked as a bigger location.

I always love going into this small specialty shop to see what unique gifts I can find. This location in Prairie Village has always been my go-to whenever I travel to the area. The store itself has a wide range of gifts and items for all ages. The best part is that you are also supporting the local businesses that produced it! Although not their biggest location, this shop makes great use of their small space. Their products range from shirts and hats to local BBQ sauce and hot sauce. There is a wall full of cool art pieces that always catch my attention. They rotate products in and out, so it's always a surprise whenever you visit.I went in looking for some gifts to give to a friend I will be visiting and ended up finding the perfect items, while also getting some things for myself. I took full advantage of the small table that was set up full of pet related products. I would say the prices are above average, but it is definitely still worth a browse to see if you can find some good deals. You could probably walk through the whole shop and look at everything in under a couple minutes, but don't be surprised if you walk out with an unique gift that you just had to have!

There's some well-chosen, fun if not overly familiar KC stuff at Made In KC. If you're wanting a city-centric gift, you're almost guaranteed to find something ranging between $5-$50. I like what this is all about but I'd be lying if I didn't say I have a little bit of KC pride fatigue, and that's coming from someone who is all in on this city and loves it. It's just that there are a million and one iterations of the same designs, t-shirts, stickers, posters, etc. Fountains, BBQ, Scout Statue, Royals/Chiefs themed, skyline, rinse and repeat. However at the end of the day, it's nice to have people repping KC with pride and supporting local makers who design and manufacture these things here in our backyard. I'd recommend popping in a Made In KC to see if it's for you, and outside of maybe Westside Storey or Charlie Hustle, you won't find more KC stuff than you would here.

This is one of my go-to places for all things KC. For birthdays, home warming gifts, or even for myself they have everything! I live dangerously close and go in constantly. They are always new seasonal items to check out. They have the cutest KC t-shirts for every team, jewelry, socks, hats, BBQ sauce, and so so much more. I cannot recommend this shop enough. I love supporting local KC stores and this is one of my favorite places to support! You will not be disappointed with anything you get there!

Unfortunately I came in here expecting to leave with some great finds but I left empty handed because of the staff. I waked into basically an empty store and wasn't greeted by anyone who worked there. Usually not so bothersome to me, but they were both so busy speaking with the lady checking out that they couldn't acknowledge me. I continued to look around the store and one employee started walking around but never said one word to me. I absolutely would've made a purchase had they shared even one tenth of the hospitality they were providing the one other customer in the store. But for whatever reason it was made very clear that my presence nor money was wanted there or was as important as the literal one other person inside. They have cool items but I will not be returning.

I absolutely love supporting local business and seeing everything made KC. This place is the spot to rep KC and wear items with pride. It features items from clothing to KC distillery whiskey, to KC beer to locally sourced honey. I bought a shirt, ice cream from ice cream bae, and some honey there! The interior design is very well done and I could definitely see myself staying for a beer, shopping, and getting ice cream again in the future. My only gripe is that items are a little bit more expensive due to it being in the plaza and small scale business products, but it is your one stop shop and unique to any other store around town.

Stopped in to browse after getting work done near by. This was my first time visiting this location, but not my first time at a Made in KC store. While it has a variety of products available, it definitely is smaller than some of the other locations. There weren't quite as many shirt options available here, or food offerings. Still a decent amount of product though, with a few clearance/sale racks. Very organized overall, and well decorated - they made good use of a smaller space. The associate working was friendly, but sounded like she was also doing something on her phone - though it wasn't too busy when I stopped in! I think I prefer the prairie fire location, but this is a lot closer to home for me (aka more convenient).

Solid place to shop for anything you want that is literally "Made in KC." Some really cool stuff in here including maps, art prints, clothing, and my personal favorite, coffee. They offer several different locally roasted coffee beans here including Post Coffee and Meta. Check the roast dates before buying, however. Sometimes the product is sitting on the shelf for a while. I would love to stock up on some of their unique wares here. There were some spectacular folk art options honoring our home, KC. These include hand drawn maps, postcard like prints with picturesque views of KC, and locally made items you couldn't find anywhere else. Support this local business that supports local businesses. Kind of like the "We Sell Your Stuff on Ebay" Store, Made in KC is a "middle man" for local business owners. Don't let that change your opinion - this is a top notch shop for any KC need.

Look no further than Made in KC if you are in need of the perfect Kansas City gift. The store is located conveniently in Prairie Village across the parking lot from Hen House. I visited a few days after Christmas to pick up a gift for a friend that I will be visiting in North Carolina over New Years. I expected to see the store a little picked over post-Christmas, but was pleasantly surprised by the selection available. With so many products, Made in KC does a good job organizing its goods making for an easy shopping experience. Sections include: food (a wide variety of KC BBQ sauces, KC Canning products, syrups, chocolate), home goods (lots of coasters with KC landmarks, candles, ornaments), coffee beans and accessories (coffee from Maps, Parisi, Messenger, and more), men's products (beard creams and wallets), art (prints from Hammerhead and Easy Tiger among others), greeting cards, attire for all ages, baby/kids books, jewelry and more. They even have a cooler with different local sodas and cold brew. I purchased a Maps 65% Dark Chocolate Bar, Cow Town BBQ sauce, and a KC Canning Co marmalade. All three products totaled about $25, which I felt was a good price for what I purchased. I'll be adding Made in KC to my list of go-to KC shops and think of it first when looking for a unique and affordable gift.

Love this place!! Made in KC is one of my favorite stores. My husband and I popped in here yesterday looking to pick up some Christmas gifts for family and we walked out with more than we'd hoped for! I love the array of items they sell - food, clothing, prints, drinkware, wall hangings, magnets, etc. Everything is very well made and you can tell they are quality pieces. They also have some collegiate apparel (KU / K-State) and kid's books. There truly is something for everyone! We will definitely be back!
