Macarena's Mexican Food

Loved my tacos and my date made two meals out of the carne asada! The salsa verde was a great addition and I wished I had more to take home. The shop is cute and has several seats if you'd rather not eat over your lap in the car. ;)The two guys working were cooking, filling orders, keeping the place tidy and still were very pleasant. The menu is extensive- I'll be back to try other items.

We came here on a weekend afternoon and we were the only ones in the restaurant for a little bit before a few other customers strolled in.There were 13 of us and we ordered on one tab and the food came out staggered as we sat at a few tables on one side of the restaurant.We ordered things like the crispy Taco plate, the California burrito, breakfast burrito, fajitas plate, and fries, among other things. Everyone liked what they got. I did feel like the meat tasted a bit charred in some instances and then a bit salty in others. The tortilla chips are also not complimentary. But overall the food came out fast, even if it was a little more like the meat was not super freshly grilled. But again, everyone liked their food and I think the prices were also very reasonable for 13 people (includes 4 kids).

One of the best birria burritos ever! The meat was perfectly cooked with so much flavor, cheese, rice, guacamole, and peppers it was fully loaded and it was huge I could only finish the first one at the restaurant the service was great, and we took our time because it was our first time there but the food came out so fast and fresh. It's a smaller space, and maybe no more than 15 people can sit and eat, this place has high reviews for a reason.

I'm not a fan of red meat, but this dish is amazing. I'll probably call my mom and recommend that she tries this place. Unfortunately, I can't even show you the after because it's all gone.

The service at this location is always lacking. To Go orders are never ready when you get there. They are not welcoming at all. I'm never greeted when I walk in. In fact this time the older guy was on his phone when I came in and he paid me no attention. The cook was just coming out of the back room and looked annoyed when he spotted me. He ignored me as he went behind the counter and started scrolling on his phone. Only after the other guy wrapped up his phone call do he look my was so I could give him the name in my order. He then told me it was almost ready when it appeared the cook hadn't actually started it yet. It's a very small space where you see directly into the prep area. The food was good, I got the daily special of 3 puffy tacos ,and the order was correct. I got 2 beef and 1 chicken. But good enough to continue to choose them over other Mexican restaurants in the area? I'm starting to think not.

I'm so pissed with the burritos we received tonight. Liberty burrito missing the shrimp, Chicago burrito add sour cream is missing. These were the worst we've ever had. Seems like kids making the food and is not the same as my previous visits. Owner needs to get a handle on making sure the food is consistently made the same.

Delicious and affordable. I absolutely recommend checking out their daily specials prior to ordering . There are always some great hidden gems in those daily specials . Authentic and always fresh. And I need to mention usually super fast . These guys work very hard to produce some super tasty food . I would totally tell you to give them a shot .

Great food had the Taco salad and was very pleased. Hot food hot. The Chimi with ground beef was very good the Pico and guacamole was just perfect. Thank you

Very kind young men working I will give them that. I ordered for pickup whole o drove to the store only 5 minutes away. The burrito, churro, and rice bean plate was extremely cold though; very odd unless it was old food. I so desperately wanted to love this place and I will try one more time before I give up. Hopefully the next time the food will be as advertised.
