Lutfi's Fried fish North

Convenient location with large dining area, clean and well lit.Specialized menu with fresh sides. I ordered the 4 piece dinner with collard greens, fried okra and extra hush puppies. The fish was perfectly lightly coated and fried to perfection. Order was delivered quickly by a very friendly staff.

Let's start with the dessert ... The lemon sunshine cake is pure joy, a must have! No explanation needed.. Go. Get. The Cake.The fish was fried to perfection, not too greasy not to hard just like i like it.The Mac cheese wasn't extraordinary but still good!The greens were yunmy! Made me think of home

If you like fried, southern food and seafood, then you should definitely try.I do like that they offer wings in case you have someone in your party that isn't a fan of seafood. All the food was really good and cooked fresh. The restaurant itself is very clean and the service is really good.

Have only been once to grab something quick to take out. Got a snack pack with the catfish and some fries. Fish was great and still piping hot by the time I got home. Fries were just plain old frozen fries, but it hit the spot!

Welcome to the Northland Lufti's!I had heard they were moving up here and that they were taking a place off of Englewood next to the pet supply store and The Pizza Street. But it wasn't until the other day that I noticed they had opened. So, tonight I go in and give them a try. I ordered up a half order of Whiting, fried, with some red beans and rice and some coleslaw.They offer Basa, catfish strips, Whiting, shrimp, and tilapia, along with a couple of different styles of chicken. For sides they have red beans and rice, coleslaw, potato salad, mac and cheese, French fries, spaghetti, fried okra and green beans.The Whiting I had was pretty darn tasty! A crisp crunchy coating with delicate, white, succulent fish on the inside. The red beans and rice were full of flavor nothing wrong with these bad boys. On the other hand, the coleslaw they served is just a style of slaw that I don't really care for. So, the next time I go in I'll try the mac and cheese. And the next time I'll have the fish fried blackened just for something different.I'm really glad to see this place so close to home!

I AM OVERJOYED!!! No more having to schlep into Midtown for the best fried fish in the city! Now for you Lutfi's fans, to answer the burning question, yes. All the traditional flavor of Lutfi's is there, but there are some notable differences and they are one's you will want to take note of.There is no breakfast menu, there are no burgers. They do offer chicken strips for the kiddos and chicken wings. You can only get the wings in combos which is another nice added feature. They offer a fish and wings, Shrimp and wings, and a fish and shrimp combo. They also offer a shrimp and bread option so you don't have to buy the meal if you want shrimp.The staff is wonderful. They are still getting their groove down, but that doesn't make them any less wonderful. On a side note, I really have been frequenting this Lutfi's a LOT as it is the first franchised one out there. I want the whole metro and it's suburbs (Look out JoCo, you need Lutfi's next), so I want this to be a success and so far, this location is earning it's accolades 100%

Good food of a good quality... Wish the cashier had told me how to add today's purchase points before it was to late..

My wife and I both ordered the two-piece snack with a side. Best fried catfish I've had in years! Crunchy on the outside. Moist on the inside. For my side I chose the collard greens. They blew me away! They were everything I remembered from growing up as a kid in Memphis. I didn't realize how much I missed them until I had them here. That's when I remembered how much I loved and missed them. My wife chose the fried okra, which was excellent. The place is very clean. Service is quick and the food is delivered to your table HOT and delicious. We will definitely be going back. (BTW... If you order the full meal, be prepared to take half of it home.)

Really good southern catfish just like you'd get in the southeast part of Missouri. Will return.
