One of the best delivery orders ever!On Thanksgiving day, my husband and I were home, sick. Bummer. We started looking at delivery places that were open, and found Luna's. We were excited about supporting someone local instead of another fast food chain.Everything was absolutely delicious. Best catfish I've ever had, hands down. So crispy and light- and this was after having traveled to our door! Mac and cheese was perfect, and the DIPPING SAUCE. You need to get their signature dipping sauce- it's incredible. I tried Luna's today for the very first time and I'm upset that this is my first time going! The food was so fresh and piping hot and they were extremely generous with my sides. I ordered the Catfish Combo and I didn't realize that the combo also comes with a drink! You can't beat it. I will definitely be coming back!

Lunas has great fish and shrimp. You have the option to choose which seasoning you want, I recommend you get the lemon pepper + spicy seasoning. They are also available via Uber eats!

Wow. I was not expecting what I came across! I was looking for another fish & chicken spot that doesn't need to be mentioned since it has to be shut down, BUT Luna's is open for business everyday! I had a craving for some good fried shrimp and fries and this is the place that just earned a loyal customer out of me and it was only my first time! I knew I was on the right place when people of all ethnic backgrounds were walking through the door. The shrimp and fries were made to order and I could tell because it was almost too hot to eat LOL but it's so good you just have to blow out as you chew IYKYK. I had to get a pic of the menu because there isn't a good view available online. All combos come with coleslaw, bread and a drink which is a great deal for the price. I am honestly blown away by how great the quality is and not ashamed to admit I ate everything in the parking lot. They do have a small seating area, but it was occupied by all the people waiting for their order, including myself at one point. I can't believe I haven't discovered this place earlier since it's right across the street from G's, but now I know where to go if I want some fried shrimp, fish or chicken! Although, I haven't even tried the fish or chicken yet I just know it's great because I think that shrimp is the trickiest to make because it's easy to overcook, but Luna's breading is super flavorful and the shrimp were so juicy I didn't even need sauce. Also, the fries are the seasoned battered fries and just compliments anything fried well. Just WOW. Also, their standard shake is lemon pepper, but you can get spicy or a sauce you prefer. I got a light shake because I really wanted the batter to speak for itself and it was screaming!

I am newish to KC and I have been looking for a great fish and chicken restaurant. I thought that with the location being on 79th and Troost, it was a black owned establishment. Because of the ratings, I gave it a try. The place was well-staffed and precise with orders. I ordered: 10 pc wing dings (2/5. Tasted like they were fried in fish grease. They were not crispy at all but I'm sure it's because of the steam from the styrofoam container) 8 pc large shrimp and 3 pc whiting combo (3/5. Shrimp and fries were good, coleslaw had a container/plastic taste. Fish had a taste to it that I couldn't pinpoint but didn't taste fresh.)Small okra (4/5. Hearty. Just didn't seem like it was battered in house. Still good.)Small onion rings (3.5/5 More batter than onion. But seemed beer battered and that was a good taste to it.) In all, I would give it a 3/5 since there was something that I could eat out of my order but I wouldn't recommend for what I was searching for which was good fish and chicken. But I'm just one vote.

Today is Christmas Eve drove in from Texas kinda had a mixed taste so me and two of my sons. in Kansas City decided to try Lunas out. totally surprised! Looked at a five piece plate with a side and a drink and thought itty-bitty pieces of chicken wrong. The chicken was full size, greatly seasoned crispy, worthy so worthy of praise. They have levels of spiciness, Denis was on point, it was delivered to the hotel and was piping hot had fish also from there, outstanding and the fried okra for a large with enough to feed eight and was good too!!! I've been around the world and I would have to say these guys did a good job.

I had fried chicken catfish and okra, everything was excellent. The chicken was crispy and seasoned well, The fish was delicious with a fresh flavor, and the okra was seasoned well and crispy. I ordered with Uber eats and the food arrived quickly and was hot and fresh.
