Taylor in lumbar was very helpful. While there were 5 other employees in the lumber area, 3 were helping/watching one customer while one of the 2 checkout clerks went to get Taylor. I understand teamwork, but question why it took 1 employee and 2 watching employees to help one customer. No body acknowledged us at the cashiers, who were in conversation with each other, nor the 3 helping 1 customer. Thank you Taylor for actually helping customers. The 5 stars are for Taylor. For Lowes as a whole I'd give 1 star.

It's probably true that those who have bad service write comments more than people who have good experiences. When my mom's refrigerator was delivered last December, the delivery guys went above and beyond. However, the purchasing was an issue. Delivery was set. However on the morning of the delivery I received an email that it wouldn't be delivered until the next week. My 95 year old mom wasn't settling for that. I called and after MUCH discussion, they located a similar model and met the price of the first one. It was delivered it that afternoon. Lowe's has always been "the place" to purchase appliances. Good prices and good delivery. So when my refrigerator went out in March, we purchased one there. Delivery was set. Uh oh. Since my mom's delivery, they have switched how they deliver. Instead of Lowe's employees delivering, they hired a delivery service...I think it might be the same company they use across the country. Two guys showed up. The "second" had no idea what he was doing and had injured his foot earlier in the day when an appliance fell on it and then again hit it on my refrigerator. I felt badly for him, as I realized these delivery guys just weren't trained for the job they were doing. The "lead" would have made a good "second" as he had some idea what he was doing but still hadn't had enough training either. Bringing in the fridge, which admittedly was just barely small enough to go through the door, they banged up my doorpost after not waiting when I told them to wait til I got my partner to help. I had a small piece of carpet that could have gone where they scraped the door. They hooked it up to the water line and were patient when my partner had a bit of difficulty getting the water turned off.From there everything went downhill. They fumbled around and finally got the handles on the bottom freezer. They used only one screw for one door and broke off a screw in the other handle so it couldn't be used. They removed no packing or tape other than what they had to open the doors. The lead didn't know how to put in the water filter and refused my friend's help. Finally got it in. Then they left. First he asked me to sign a paper saying delivery was complete which I refused. I had glanced at the paper earlier and it mentioned they would be removing the packing, etc., which the delivery company later said they don't do. ??????My friend took the handle to the store and showed them the issue. They took the handle off the floor model and gave him a second screw for the other handle. We removed all the tape and packing which takes a while and he fixed the door handles. I've talked to the store manager several times about repair and deducting some from what we paid for all the extra aggravation. Today is April 8. The fridge was delivered March 24. After 3 calls to the 800 number with promises of being contacted by a manger over the store manager (which as it turns out was a lie), eventually they filled out a report and sent it to the third party company that now handles complaints with the delivery company and I THINK and HOPE the store. The French doors need leveling which we have complained about since the 24th when the delivery guys didn't do it. The store manager was to have someone from the store call to set up a time 3 days ago for possibly the next day. Didn't happen. Called again today and said to get someone here today or come get the refrigerator and I'll buy one somewhere else. (Interestingly, she wasn't concerned at all that I might have them do that. Customer service? They need to improve.) Supposedly someone will be here today. Sometime I'll hear back from the delivery company regarding paying for the door repair. The store manager isn't wanting to deduct anything from the price and says the delivery company would have to do that. If they don't deduct something, they'll be getting this one back. Let them lose money on the deal.Will I again purchase an appliance from Lowe's? Doubtful unless they get their act together. Whoever made the decision to have a delivery company deliver rather than their employees goofed. If they had a company that was trained to do the job that would be different. The store manager informed me they were on their third crew. Good luck.

Brought stain for deck . took it home. Wife did not like color .Returns to my surprise said they could not take it back because it was mixed! Mgr . was standing there said sorry. My point is why didn't Paint guy tell me if i was sure of this . That when i mix it there are no returns! lousy service in store.I WILL NOT BE BACK!

The absolute worst customer service. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.We just wanted to order a shower door with installation and the customer service was rude and completely unhelpful. I had to go back multiple times, sit on the phone multiple times, was told to come back another day, was made to pay for it over the phone even though I was right in front of them, and put through so much unnecessary stuff just for one purchase. I've never been treated like this anywhere else.

I shop at Lowe's often because I'm a veteran and I enjoy the 10% discount they generously offer veterans. Having said that, I know that when I come in, I will get lousy service. Recently, I went to the paint department and no one was there. So I asked a cashier to call for help. A fully tattooed young lady showed up with an array of facial piercings and a bad attitude. She stared at me blankly when I asked questions and acted angrily when I asked for help in selecting a color. When I asked which type of thinner I needed to clean my brushes, she would not answer. I said you don't really understand painting do you. She said you are rude a walked away. My days shopping at this chain are over.

Went to the "pro" desk for help calculating how many pavers I needed, the "pro" had no idea, didn't offer any help other than telling me to go to the garden center and ask. Off to the garden center, the "check out" girl, didn't know but offered to get someone else to help. In walks two guys, they couldn't figure it out so they literally just walked off! Went to my car and looked it up on my phone and guesstimated how many I needed. Poor customer service guys!!!

I went to Lowe's on 133 & State Line in KCMO for storage totes. I found the totes but there were no lids on the shelves. I was approached by Pete (Dept Supervisor) who asked if he could help me find anything. I told him about needing lids for the totes and he indicated that he could assist with getting me lids. We went towards the outdoors gardening area where Pete indicated that the lids were on the top shelf of the additional storage area. He asked Mike (forklift operator) to follow us. Mike brought over the forklift and they both blocked off the isle for safety. Mike brought the pallet of totes and lids down and placed it in the center isle. Pete handed me three lids and I was on my way. Both employees were extremely helpful and very professional.

I needed help with choosing the right product to fix an issue with my van. When I entered the store, I was greeted by two employees eager to help. One of exactly where the product was located, and told me which aisle it was located on. Before I even reached aisle 14, I was greeted by a very congenial young man named Kip. Kip listened very carefully to the problem I was having. Helped me brainstorm ways to fix it, and walked me to three different areas to look at products that might be helpful. Once I was able to determine which product I needed, Kip walked me to Julia for checkout at the front of the store. I told him he deserved a raise and a promotion because he went above and beyond to help me. I consider that excellent customer service! Thanks again, Kip!!

My fiancé and I come in yesterday to get some materials for our DIY wedding project. Steve helped us with getting PVC pipes in the plumbing department! Steve was more than willing to help and made our visit very fast and productive. DJ (Donald) in the doors department was also helpful with scheduling a appointment for a team to come measure our home for a new front door! Thankful for both of them!
