The Spare Tire is the answer if you're wondering what to order. It's huge. It's delicious. You'll wonder what the hell you were thinking if you order something else right before a waitress walks by with one in her hands. The fries that come with it are just okay. The deer heads hanging all over the place might creep you out as you're stuffing your face. But the sandwich is really, really good.

Louisburg bbq is a little south of Kansas City but it is a gem of a spot if you don't want to go in the city for some good bbq. They have daily specials and the prices are very reasonable. It had a very homey vibe to the spot. With a built in fireplace and taxidermies on the wall. They have a wide menu not only bbq but plenty of pizzas for you to order. We got a couple of their appetizers the onion rings and chili cheese fries and the burnt end sandwich. Their burnt end sandwich was great the meat was very tender and had a lot of flavor to it without saucing up the meat. We also got an order of their spare tire sandwich. This could definitely be shared with multiple people. Their biggest item on the menu. Featuring a triple decker sandwich with ham, brisket, Swiss cheese, and an onion ring. The bbq and all the meats were the highlight of this fine establishment. Give this place a visit if you are in the Louisburg area.

What an absolute find this was while I was passing through Louisburg! A very unexpected KC BBQ gem. The inside was unique with taxidermed deer heads on the wall and cattle ear tags to denote the table numbers, but overall cozy and comfortable with a nice looking bar. This place is interesting because it's clearly part beer hall (with some giant 30 Oz. Beer mugs), part BBQ joint, and part pizza place. The Spare Tire is one of the best specialty sandwiches you'll find. Traditionally with brisket and ham, I opt to sub out the ham for Turkey. I love the melty provolone, double toasted bun, and the well-seasoned crispy onion straws. The fries are perfect and handcut. The sauces are nice. The baked beans and the cheesy corn are both special and have amazing flavor. The ribs still have the tip attached. The texture is perfect for a spare rib but not ideal for a rib tip. The pulled pork and beef burnt ends are also excellent. I am obsessed with the locally baked bread they serve with their platters. Overall, good BBQ spot and I will be back but now - I want to try the pizza!

We were in Louisburg for the 2 5k series in Paola and Louisburg so chose to have lunch here. I had the Carolina pulled pork sandwich. French fries were 3$. The sandwich was served with an onion ring with coleslaw in the middle. I ate around that. I found the food very good. Service was also very good. It served its purpose. There's taxidermy on the walls and a nice quiet enjoyable atmosphere. I'd eat there again.

I enjoyed the fine BBQ, stellar service, very generous portions, and fair pricing during my dine-in lunch visit. My Carolina pulled pork sandwich with choice of side and a pickle slice ($9.99) was served just seven minutes after I ordered at the table. The sandwich was huge (standing 4.5" high), with generous portions of moist and tasty pulled pork and cole slaw separated by a nice and unique layer of crunchy onion rings. The generous portion of baked beans was very good.I found the service to be especially welcoming, attentive, friendly, and helpful. I was also checked on by a manager. The dining area was clean and nice with contemporary country background music, wood-toned western décor, a fireplace, an event room, a full bar, and a small, basic patio.Overall, I'm thinking four stars and bumping up for the good portions, fair pricing, and great service.

PIZZA IS GOOD!! We didn't even know they had pizza until we saw the pizza flag by the curb! So we called in a pick up order and was told to come pick it up in 20 minutes. We got there almost in 20 minutes exactly. Pizza was waiting for me and was warm and fresh! When we got home 15 min later the pizza was still warm and delicious! I'm glad we found some pizza in town other than Casey's gas station pizza. We will be back for more pizzas!!!

The place was decently busy when we arrived. Our server was nice, but I think she was new and hasn't done much serving. We started off with drinks. I will say they make an Amazing Bloody Mary, one of the best I have ever had. We tried the jalapeño poppers. They were hot, crispy and creamy. They had no jalapeño kick though. The sandwiches don't come with fries, so a $12 sandwich with an additional upcharge for a side is pretty disappointing. The green peppers weren't cooked and the meat was obviously the previous days. Both the bread and the meat were very dry. It seems like they take the sandwiches and fries and stick them in an oven to re-heat. I really dont think our food was grilled fresh. The fries were good but soggy. They were obviously homecut fries but not crispy. My fiancé was disappointed with his meal. His first sandwich had a very strange taste to it. Not sure if what it was cooked in had cleaning chemical residue, or if the meat was starting to turn, but it was not edible. We spoke with the server who offered to replace the sandwich, which they did. The coleslaw he said was super bitter and vinegary, he also didn't eat it, but did like their beans. This was our first time dining here and overall not a fan. For the cost and what we received I am disappointed. I hope that maybe we just got a one off experience. We may try again down the road but not anytime soon.

Awful service. My husband and I sat down at a table and waited about 30 minutes and weren't even acknowledged as the people around us were getting waited on. We ended up walking out.
