**Yelp Review for Los Alamos: **I recently dined at Los Alamos, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The service was outstanding; our server was not only attentive but also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They offered great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh, and you can tell a lot of care goes into each recipe. I particularly enjoyed their meat in red sauce and the one in green sauce--definitely a must-try!I had a Paloma to drink with Tajín-very authentic and tasted like home. When you see multiple Latin people dining you know it's authentic!! In terms of pricing, I found Los Alamos to be very reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. It feels like a great value, especially considering the overall experience. I highly recommend Los Alamos to anyone looking for a delightful meal in a welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait to return!

Los Alamos is my family's go-to Mexican restaurant in Kansas City. The family that runs the joint is super friendly and always greet us when we walk in. The restaurant has amazing options ranging from a two meat plate to a humongous burrito. It is incredibly easy to order as you are able to walk up to the counter and see what the restaurant has to offer.The restaurant's chips and salsa are a free perk that comes with your order. The salsa roja has a little kick and is super tasty and the salsa verde has so much flavor. This place can fill up fast around lunch so it can sometimes be hard to find a place to sit. As for parking, you'll have to find a street spot. I usually drive a little north on the same street and can find a place to parallel park.

I can see why this place is so busy! We came in for breakfast and had a short wait. We got a nice table and the service was fantastic! Our order was in fast and the food was out not much later. I had the Chile Rellenos, the cheese was a great blend, and the batter was full of flavor. It was a massive portion of food and I couldn't finish it all. I had to have them take the plate away because I couldn't stop eating it once I was full, because it was so delicious!Great food, great service!

If you're craving a Mexican breakfast, there is none better in KC than Los Alamos. Gus always greets with a smile and handshake. Barbacoa is so good! Green pork is perfection. Couple those with perfectly cooked over easy eggs. Mmmm

We came here and man they did not disappoint! The salsa and chips were soooo good. The green salsa was my favorite. Our burritos were massive and soook beyond delicious. I got the mild sauce and my boyfriend got the spicy. Both were good ! The spicy wasn't spicy but was a nice lighter sauce where the mild was more rich. Our service was phenomenal and we will definitely be back! There are numbers on the tables they'll have you sit at after ordering. You then go to the bar to check out. There is some seating outside.

The service and food are top notch! The second we walked in, we were made to feel at home and that welcoming spirit showed up in every interaction we had with everyone there. It's a family owned business that does everything from scratch and it shows with fresh flavors and plates prepared with heart and soul. These people are proud of what they have to offer and they should be - - we will be back for sure.

Came here on a Friday evening. The place isn't much to see but I liked that where was plenty of street parking close by and no wait to be seated since it was pretty much empty. I had checked the prices before coming but my friends had not so they were a little surprised by how expensive the food was and also the fact that you had to pay for water. I'm not sure if free water is an option but if so it was not given to them. I had a Paloma. It tasted good but not sure if there was any alcohol in it, I hope there was for a $15 drink. We had chips, salsa and guacamole for the table. The guacamole was fresh but my friend said it needed salt. I really liked both the green and red salsas, the red was supposed to be hot but it wasn't very spicy to me but I liked them both. My vegetarian friend had the cheese enchiladas, the server who is also the owner ) kept saying cheese and onion and she kept saying just cheese enchiladas, they went back in forth about 3 times before I finally asked if she could have them without onions which she could. Both friends enjoyed their food and I thought my Carne asada tasted really good and we all had leftovers. The food here was awesome but a few things I didn't like include: he was going to charge me for a little ramekin of salsa but said I could have it for free, my text receipt revealed there were several "fees/ taxes" added to the bill including a convenience fee, deli tax, alcohol tax, and a service charge and then I also tipped 15% (I included screenshot of my receipt in the photos) and there were a lot of little bugs flying around, maybe gnats or fruit flies, around which was annoying and odd since it's almost winter. I really enjoyed the food but I feel as though salsa should be free to take home (especially the tiny little containers of it) the insects were a nuisance and the "hidden charges" rubbed me the wrong way. I would maybe come back because of the food and it was a quiet place for dinner with friends but there are other options more cost effective options.

I found this place on google map, and always wanted to try it based on all the great reviews for the lunch plate and the soup. I got a small size pozole, and the lunch plate with the chicken meat to go. This restaurant has big seating space, open kitchen style and a counter to show the options for lunch plate which is still available at dinner time. The staff greeted me right after I stepped in and told me to go to the back counter to place my takeout order. It was hard to find the menu on the wall and anywhere in the restaurant, and it seemed that they may expect the customers all know about what they offer, so I had to ask the staff to bring me the menu. The menu only listed part of what they offer, the soup I wanted to try was not on the menu but on the board that I noticed placed at the front door. I had to ask if they still served the soup, and fortunately they did. The impressive part is their meat is so soft and flavorful! The bean paste is so smooth and the fried rice is really good. However, the overall flavor of the pozole was so amazing, just ok. For these two items it cost $32 after tax, the portion of the lunch plate definitely can feed two people, and for me this amount of food can feed me three meals. Although the good food, good portion, it's not really like a neighborhood food price. I would return to try their other known soup, Menudo, and maybe I can be persuaded to love this restaurant after that.

I haven't been to a restaurant in a while where I was eating my food and was already planning on my next visit again!This place is just that good. Authentic Mexican food with so many options of food. This is the ideal breakfast/brunch spot so prepare to wait because it does get busy. Parking is either street parking or their lot, which gets filled quickly.As far as the food...delicious! We ordered the menudo, taco de carnitas and chilaquiles and everything was spot on. Service was amazing as well, can't wait to return.

Found this little gem on yelp! Walked in and the place was clean and bright, and the people were amazingly friendly! You walk to the counter where food is being prepared fresh and order. Chips and salsa, which are all homemade are brought to your table. The chips were delicious the salsas amazing. If you like spicy..the spicy pork taco and smoky pork taco were WONDERFUL!!! I would definitely recommend
