My granddaughter began attending Little Leaders of KCK on August 3, 2021. My daughter took her out due to incidents involving my granddaughter that the school did not make her aware of immediately. The last incident that she communicated with the school on (Christi, Mesha, and Kim) was not addressed at all. Christi's response didn't even address her concerns but it certainly involved a lot of unnecessary verbiages. My daughter tried adhering to the 2 weeks notice policy per the contract, and instead of Christi owning, addressing, or seeing what could be done to make it better she opted to give her the deposit back and make my grandchild's last day effective that day.Childcare is a partnership with the staff and parents and it's also a decision parents don't take lightly. This school is NOT about partnerships it's all about excuses, and placating you at the moment.

It was great under previous ownership. They offered better benefits, yearly pay raises and compassion. Under new ownership, she walks in from day one and promised staff that nothing was going to change. Lies! Few months go by and things started changing slowly. They changed the curriculum to Highscope. Which is junk, especially for the area it is located in. They lack communication, and will give parents and staff a one day notice of changes. Oh, and they also fire you over email with no real explanation as to why except "Adjustments are being made to align with programming needs." What they really mean is, "You make too much for our budget and we want to get staff in that we can pay less."If you like making chump change, being walked all over, under appreciated, being lied to your face regularly and getting fired through email. Putting up with kids hitting, biting, cussing you out and overly worked using Highscope, then I say this is a perfect place for you. It's truly sad what it has become. I honestly enjoyed working with the staff. They don't realize firing people who have been there before new ownership, have built relationships with staff, children and their families, will not look good for them. Wyndotte is a different kind of place. And they will not take to kindly of these changes and firing people who they've learned to trust with their little ones.
