Lemongrass is always a great for a night out or in! Takeout is super easy and quick. If eating in, the restaurant is quaint and not too bright. The staff is amazing; they are attentive and friendly. The food is always delicious.

Authentic Thai restaurant that has a vast menu with approachable, as well as, more obscure Thai dishes. My chicken and green bean dish was tasty however, I do wish it was spicier, I asked for "hot" and feel like I got more of a mild dish. But, I did taste my date's dish and it was to my spice preference. The strange thing is we both ordered "hot". I would definitely go back and try other dishes on the menu. .The drink selection is quite impressive and they have a solid cocktail list. My martini was fruity while also maintaining a taste of alcohol, it was a light and refreshing drink to enjoy with the meal. I believe they have a pretty full bar so, I would assume they can make simpler drinks as well. The dining room was pretty full for a later dinner on a weeknight and there was only one server but, she did fabulous and handled all the tables with ease. This is one of my new favorite Thai places and that says a lot because there are some great ones in Kansas City and other surrounding suburbs.

When I think of Thai food, I think of party flavor burst into my mouth. Savory, spicy, salty, fermented, with a bit of sweetness. But the only flavor I tasted in ALL dishes was just a lot of sugar, especially the tom yum soup. Tom yum soup is a must for me whenever I go to a Thai place. We came in a group of 4 and thought paying the extra $6 for the fire pot was worth it. Sadly, the broth did not even fill up to the top of fire pot. Very little seafood and vegetables in sugary broth. Wasn't sure why the $6 extra charge for the same amount of food we could have gotten in a regular soup bowl? And there was no sour or spicy. I thought I was drinking a sugary juice broth instead. Highly disappointed.I think we came in a very busy Friday night. Our server took a long time to come by to take our orders. And when she did, we all felt very rushed. Friendly but not personal. And at time, I felt like she was a bit annoyed with us.Overall, I am giving them 3 star for food and service.

*CELIAC / GLUTEN FREE REVIEWI got the phad thai red curry - I've had both before but never together, so that was fun to try. There is a note at the bottom of the menu stating most things can be made gluten free for one additional dollar (totally worth it), the staff were very kind and there appeared to be lots of options!

This is based off this experience only. I needed some sustenance quick and close by for my wife and I to share. I opted for Lemongrass Thai since we've been wanting to try it but anytime we're in the area (Monday's) it's closed. I had about 20mins left to kill and walked over. When you walk in there is no one that greets you but instead they have a sign thats says "ring bell for carry out/pickup orders and for dine in just stand there awkwardly until someone sees you to be seated." I ended up ordering the garlic pork ribs thinking it'd be enough to share but goodness gracious was I wrong... I opened up the box and said to myself, where is the rest of it!?!? This amount (7 mini pieces which might equal 2 average sized ribs) is not worth $10. The flavor was there but they were small pieces and unfortunately overcooked to the point of barely having any meat on them. I'm hoping this is as just a one off because we would like to try other items and do plan on dining in sometime soon.

Stopped in for lunch with a friend & glad I tried this place out! I got the Penang curry because that's what I always get and it was good. You can get it with soft tofu or fried tofu so I got the fried. The server was friendly. The restaurant was a little older looking for sure, but seemed clean enough. I enjoyed that we got to watch the farmers market vendors take down their things while we were waiting on our food too.

I have been to Lemongrass several times, primarily for lunch. The location in downtown Overland Park is great and there is always plenty of parking. I ordered pad thai with chicken the last time I was in. The lunch size serving was large enough that I took some home. It was also a good price for a lunch serving. While it gets busy during the lunch period, we had no wait for a table. There was only one server so I wouldn't recommend eating here if you have to be out the door quickly. I do plan on returning as the food is great!

The service was great and the ambience was spectacular. I highly recommend the Basil chicken wings as an appetizer. The khao soi was very tasty as well. The basil fried rice could use a little more flavor. We will for sure be back!
