The legacy park community center has some of the best amenities over all other LSPR community center locations. The gym here is a little too crowded for my liking, but if you don't mind a person on every adjacent machine it should be fine. But the classes are specifically why I got my membership.

Five more days we have left to stay in Lee's Summit Missouri and headed back home to Las Vegas soon. We've enjoyed our stay in Missouri for the 9 months we've been here. I had no idea about this place. What's funny is we have explored every Park in Lee's Summit. I'm only 10 minutes away from this place and I never knew about this location lol :)I haven't yet explored inside the center. Based on what I see here this is almost like a YMCA but better. Here's what I like and what I explored so far. The pictures I took I can drink my morning coffee here and set at peace and watch the sunset or sunrise. If I found this place any earlier I would definitely come here and do all my exercise and hike the trails here.I seen a few wildlife when I couldn't catch them on picture but I got the frog when I was on the bridge. So what I found out to enter the center it's only seven bucks to get in if you're at Lee's Summit resident. But outside to hike a trail is free of course. In one of my days hopefully before I go back home to Vegas I'm going to go inside the center and check it out. I was told that there's an indoor swimming pool, basketball gym and a weightlifting gym in there. I definitely recommend this place and if you are a out-of-state resident like me this would be a great place to visit to get to know Lee's Summit.Have a great day!!!

I really wish that the ball fields would be turned to turf. The fields could really be made a destination place to place ball.

A community center that offers an indoor track, swimming, free weights, cardio and a few machine weights. The tread mills are in bad shape, pointing this out to them so far has not effect on repair. The staff is nice, but could be more helpful. Management needs to step-up and correct the minor issues before they come major ones.

The Legacy Park Community Center is pretty darn good. They have a gym, indoor basket ball court, indoor pool which is mostly for the kids. There also a great bike/walking trail. Some of the gym equipment is old and need some maintenance. Also the equipment room is kind of small. But they are expending the rooms.

Nice paved bike / walking trail that goes all the way around the property. Lee's Summit parks and rec seems to do a nice job on the whole with the facilities around town. I try to ride around Legacy Loop a couple times a week when the weather is decent.

Great value and lots of classes. They are even open on most holidays. Good selection of equipment too.

So I really like Legacy and the Lee's summit parks and Rec as a whole. The prices for what you get are amazing. There are a couple of things that could use attention so I'm going to lay them out here. The free paddle boarding is awesome but there is NO shade if you are just there to watch. A few benches in the hot hot sun. (Also the poor employee has to wear a black shirt with no shade!) My other issue is that the pool chemicals have to be off. We came in April and then again in June and my daughters eyes were burned and red for the entire day. I have never seen anything like it (she looked like an extra in a Japanese horror film). I have gotten the feeling over the years of coming here that they do not value their employees and that's too bad. They seem to have a lot of turn over because of it. I do like the prices and the uplifting feel you get from the well lit lobby. It does encourage you to get active. I also like the clientele. Pretty easy going crowd. Over all I think it's great for the area.
