This place is perfectly fine if you want to swim with a lot of rules. If you like to be yelled at for anything and everything under the sun by teenagers, short-changed by concession kids, and tricked into thinking someone is actually drowning because they decided it would be smart to do "lifeguard training" on a jam-packed Friday, then this place is for you. The whistle blowing is downright obnoxious. It seems like they're just looking for a reason to reprimand someone. For example, "no floaties in this part of the pool but totally fine right next to it." Mind you, my toddler had been swimming with floaties in that section for 30 uninterrupted minutes. This place looks like a blast but we won't be back.

Very nice pool! We have the JoCo super pass, so we decided to make the drive out to Leawood. Glad we did. It's a lovely facility. Nice staff and well maintained. The kids had fun.

I can't really imagine a better public pool. Oh! Unless it had cocktails. But alas, it's a public pool, so it doesn't have booze, but it's still good! The Leawood pool is a favorite summer haunt for our kiddo. There are multiple pools- a zero depth kid pool complete with a waterfall, a mini-water slide that looks like a whale, and a bunch of fun to climb on giant floating creatures, a huge fenced-in baby pool, complete with a triple water slide and a bunch of fun water features, a spacious regular pool, a diving area, a big water slide, and a spray-ground. There are multiple areas with comfy shaded lounge chairs, including a really sweet wood deck area. The locker rooms are always clean, and the concession area has a decent variety, as well as an adjacent shaded picnic spot. The pool is cash only, and at $8 isn't the cheapest option around, but it is worth the price. We've been during the week and on weekends, and it's never very crowded. Always a summer must!

I can care less for the aquatic center although I'm sure it's pretty fun, however my props are for the amazing pristine grass soccerfields. All of them are very well designed with great drainage and well cut lawns. this park probably has the only all-grass soccer field in the metro without potholes. Your ankles will love you . . .

As a Leawood resident I love this pool. Great for kids and adults. There are 5 separate areas and lots of shady and sunny places to park your stuff. There is a fountain area for kids to run around in. A zero depth pool - on both sides that only gets about 4-5 feet deep that has a waterfall, a small slide for little kids and a few floaty things for kids to climb on that are chained down. There is also the toddler only pool which is only about 1 foot deep and has a bubbler area, a small slide that 3 kids can use at once and then a small fountain controlled by a wheel. There is a great big kid/adult water slide for kids 48 inches and up. Lastly there is the standard pool. There are lanes, a middle area for jumping and diving off the side of the pool and then the low and high dives. There is an adult only swim for 10min every hour (which I appreciate when the lines for the slide gets long with children) for every pool except for the toddler area. I tlike that it gives me time to reapply the sunscreen on the kiddos and make sure they are drinking enough water. The lifeguards are great and really on top of things. That whistle is blowing all the time to stop roughhousing, climbing on the ropes etc. I didn't see a single one with a phone or talking to friends. They take assigned breaks every so often and use that time to socialize. We try to make it once a summer, but with the kids getting older we will probably get a summer pass next year. I've noticed that it has really been less crowded lately. Not sure why, but I'm not going to complain. If you get a season pass one year, you have the option to get a super pass the following year - which for a few bucks more will allow you into all the PV pools too.

Fun pool with great surrounding park. Cheaper to go if you live in Leawood. Concession stand. Big Slide. Zero-depth pool with water fall thingys. Diving boards. There are life guards on duty. Several other cities in the state have emulated Leawood's design. I spent many summers here working and relaxing here. Lots of kids. Watch your kids, please. There are a lot of people who go here, but it never seems to be OVERLY crowded. Spend half the day in the pool and the other half throwing a frisbee around in the park.

This was a regular place for my wife and I to go both before we lived in an area without a pool up until this year when we now have a neighborhood pool and two small kids. As much as we enjoy our small neighborhood pool, we also like the amenities at Leawood Pool. The toddler and kids pools are great and the big pool with diving boards are fun. There is also a kids splash area which is fun for my kids. This would be a five star review if if wasn't for the recent changes to their pricing. I believe they have kept the price at $6 for Leawood residents and $8 for non-Leawood residents. That makes sense since Leawood taxes partially fund the park. My complaint is that there is not a kids rate. Not only that, but kids under two used to be free. Now the age limit on free admission is age 1. For my family of four, it is now $32 to go to the pool. As much as we like this pool, this will be our last time there. Just too expensive.

I am reviewing the City Park, not really the Aquatic Center. This place is pretty empty during work hours on weekdays so it has really been a great place to take my dogs for a little exercise. There are huge fields that are somewhat secluded and provide for a controlled enough environment to allow a well behave dog off leash. There is also access to the creek which my dogs also enjoy exploring.

The Aquatic Center is a really good place. There is one big complaint I have. The adult swim times for the children's pool that doesn't go more that 3 ft deep is REPREHENSIBLE AT BEST! All of the children have to sit there and watch while only a few adults sit in this pool doing nothing. Most adults have to get out of the pool with their children anyway. There is no need for it. There are so many kids here it needs to be changed and I will be calling them as well to demand it.
