Leavenworth's Carroll Mansion

This was an incredible house kept in pristine condition! Amazing attention to detail including pocket doors, transom windows, stained glass, hand-carved woodwork, and very knowledgeable tour guides!

We just finished touring this gorgeous mansion per request of my MIL. My husband and I didn't have super high expectations but we were pleasantly surprised. And wow! The tour guide was incredible. She was thorough, engaging, friendly and kept the content of the tour interesting throughout the length of it. They are truly preserving the history of this town. The portraits from glass negatives were so impressive!! Highly recommend this as something to do in Leavenworth.

My wife and I visited the museum the week before Christmas. What a hidden jewel! The building is magnificent, the pictures rendered from glass plate negatives interesting and detailed. The $6 tour is worth $25. We had a great time talking history, listening to stories, and seeing what the museum had to offer. Highly recommend.
