How is this a common technique?

Man, my neighbors lawn looks great. And now all the leaves and clippings that they just blew into the street will be other neighbors' problem. Voilà!

We've worked with Lawn & Landscape for 5+ years now. They've handled virtually every detail of our yard, including lawn, shrub, tree and bed maintenance; landscape design; and irrigation management. The entire team is outstanding, but we've especially enjoyed working with Sean Baxter, president of the company. He's super responsive to questions or concerns, and has been a great partner on some of the design improvements we've made to our landscape. But, to be sure, the entire team is top-notch. We're entering our sixth year working with them and can't imagine contracting with anyone else.

It was a valiant effort but I just couldn't do it anymore. Mowing and trimming the lawn is just not one of my strong suits. Plus, my mower died and the thought of running out and spending $400+ on a new one right at the end of the season wasn't appealing. So I called Lawn & Landscape Solutions and I'm glad I did. Their prices were comparable to other companies, and less than some of the bigger ones. I also signed up for their turf care program: 7 treatments throughout the year for weeds, bugs, etc. They do a great job and trim around everything. They even edge along all the sidewalks. There's nothing better than coming home from work and your lawn magically looks fantastic! The only problem I've had is with communication. There's a set day they're scheduled to come and I have a lock on my fence in the backyard that I leave open that day so they can get to the back. But if it rains, their schedule gets thrown off and they end up coming another day without telling me. I wish they'd send out quick texts or emails to let me know this. But I'm hoping we can work out these kinks next year when regular mowing starts again. They're generally really good about getting back to me when I do email.Definitely call these guys! And enjoy that extra time on summer weekends in the comfort of your air conditioning!

In the summer of 2017, after looking at several companies, we chose L&L Solutions to design/build our patio and to do a complete overhaul of our lawn + gardens. The patio is absolutely beautiful! Kailen did a masterful job, definitely a skilled craftsman. We would highly recommend them if you are considering a patio update or complete replacement. The lawn and new landscaping have had a few glitches along the way. The good news: Jamie is always, always prompt every time I have contacted him with any concerns. -- To me, excellent customer service more than outweighs minor problems.

Work Quality: fair as far as general landscape care. Their work results are average or less. They do not pay attention to detail. Clean up after shrub trimming is fair to poor.Reliability: fair as far as general landscape care. They do call before coming to the property, I do like that. They don't miss many appointments. Costs: ...as far as general landscape care. Labor costs are very expensive. I feel I've been financially abused more than once. They try to push you into an annual contract. I feel I've been neglected because I do NOT do an agreed contract with them.Staff: They appear friendly over the phone and in person. They appear to have a constant turn-over in staff. It's hard to know who will show up at your property at any given visit. It has been better in the last month or more.Weed and Feed Dept: Excellent serviceClosing Comment: The above might be common issues with landscape care in the Kansas City area. I was spoiled by 16+ years of excellent, economical landscape care of my home in Portland, Oregon. These people are the second company I've tried. I may be looking at a 3rd company, but I may still have the same Kansas City problem with them.

"If I could give zero stars I would. We started using them when moved into our house as they were the lawn service the previous owners used. After a few weeks of their work on our lawn we requested some preferences for our yard, ie shorter cut, edging instead of weed eating where riding mower can't get to. They came back the following week and it was worse than previous weeks. Grass clumps and clippings all over the yard, ruts where the riding mower made turns, poor attempt at edging and the most maddening, all the cut grass, that was blown, is now on top of the mulched bed around our tree and our beautifully landscaped front bed of a wide variety of ground cover plants is now covered with cut grass. Horrible job! To make matters worse, they never answer the phone. The receptionist responds to voicemail thru texts. I wouldn't recommend such an unprofessional, ineffective (in fact damaging) lawn service. Save yourself a headache!!"

Money well spent. After underwelming experiences with several other large Nursery/Landscaping companies I finally found a company that delivers what they promise. Spring clean-up of my yard was done professionally in a timely manner. Sergio checked in with me several times during the day to clarify exactly what I needed/wanted done. My garden beds were cleaned up..bushes trimmed..dead tree pulled and tons of mulch was carefully placed all around my yard. So nice to have my yard ready for spring !

CUSTOMER/BUYER BEWARE: I dealt with Scott at Lawn & Landscape Solutions. Scott sold me a 52" Wright Stander on March 28, 2016. Scott told me that the lawnmower just came from the "shop" had a clean bill of health and was ready to mow. L&LS was just selling the mower because they were moving away from the 52''. One of the blades was upside down (should of been a clue on my part) Scott was nice enough to flip the blade over and told me the "shop" must of put it on upside down. (found out later that the blade was bent, probably why it was upside down) Within two weeks/ under 10 hours of mowing I discovered the mower to be leaking from underneath by the rear wheel. I took the mower to Reynolds Lawn and Leisure in Shawnee, they informed me that the wheel motor needed to be replaced and appeared to have been leaking for some time now. $700 part. I called Scott on the telephone, informed him of the situation and asked if he would be willing to split the cost of the part, $350. Scott laughed and told me that I bought a used mower as is. Scott went further to say that Reynolds was trying to sell me a part that I did not need. I do not use L&LS for landscaping, however based on my experience dealing with Scott. The company does not seem to have a great deal of integrity.
