Stopped by from out of town. I like to try different coffee shops each time I visit a new place and saw this one down from the book store. Really loved the old school coffee shop vibes with comfy chairs, dark wood, and lots and lots of beans! I got a shaken espresso with a bit of French vanilla and it was great! The baristas were helpful and very chill. It was a nice little spot to stop in. If I had more time I probably would've hung out a bit longer. I'll also have to pick up some of their beans next time I'm in down.

This is the University Hospital version of the local coffee company. It's mostly a drink spot with a handful of sandwiches and pastries. There's coffee, of course, with all the standard coffee house lattes, mochas, americanos, macchiatos, frappes, and blended drinks. They also have milkshakes, energy drinks, tea, and bottled soft drinks. Seasonal drinks such as fall spiced cider are offered too. This is located just inside the blue entrance from the parking garage. If you arrive at the main entrance you'll have a short walk to your left. Lakota has no seating but the hospital has some comfortable chairs nearby.

I come to Lakota every morning and I could confidently say it's some of the best coffee/ lattes I've had in Columbia, however this morning my order was inedible. I went in at 6 am on Monday the 29th, and I didn't realize til after I left, but my orders were not worth what I payed. I ordered a 16oz vanilla Latte and a 16 oz Matcha Latte both with Oatmilk. Both cups were barely half full and the milk tasted extremely burnt. The drinks were extremely foamy and very strong due to the lack of milk in both. Usually my coffees are perfect, but today it was disappointing. I was on my way to work or I would've had them fix it.
