I don't think that'll be a problem
Filthy picnic area with dangerous broken wood inside
Canoe rental
Very narrow roads in campground
Large pool on lake that was non usable, in repair.
Campfire ring beside each cabin
Resort map
Dodging an overhead overgrown tree and a hedge that has not been trimmed at entrance( no one greets you.....) very difficult to get into.
Restaurant
Pool ( closed for the season)
Pavillion
Pavillion playset
Muddy and uneven sites
This place needs to shut down and stop advertising until it is fixed uo
Open garbage inside and out all around campground
Cabins
Cafe/ store closed since who knows when
Entire campground needs tree trimming. Be very careful
This place needs ALOT of attention

False advertising for this campground/RV/cabins resort. This place was lucky to even get a star from us. The camper ground itself I bet was great many moons ago, but it has gone defunct with the newest owner( who I never saw him change his clothes in the 3 days we were there)Extremely rundown, low hanging branches, filth and non running amenities like a so called cafe, game room and such. There were many campers that are lived in long term/full time with junk all around. Showers and bathrooms disgusting with filth, wallpaper handing off walls and spiderwebs galore.DO NOT stay here. You will thank us later. This place only had one good thing and that is the lake itself. Pretty view but uneven rocky, filthy( found a dozen long screws and mousetrap at our site). It poured rain for one day and made the place a muddy slip and slide....... no phone or internet there at all. If you HAVE to stay there, lock up all your belongings.....sketchy residents there.

Pool review only: The proprietor has done some improvements to the pool and thank God! It went from swamp (last summer) to a decent, refreshing pool this year! Very pleased!

Someone needs to get ahold of the EPA about this horrible dump. Our "cabin" (which was actually a duplex) was 50 feet away from the "lagoon," which stunk like raw sewage. Fishing was impossible, as the lakes were choked with algae. And the "cabin" -- no sheets, no pillow cases, and no running water between 10 a.m. to noon. The water just dripped from the sink, and the toilet wouldn't flush. It was impossible to take a shower. The management doesn't seem to like dogs, fish, customers, science, or the environment. They harassed me about my service dog. Their brochure was filled with false advertising. There was no restaurant. They did have a small store which was bare of goods and looked like I would imagine a grocery store in Cuba to be. If you want to get ice after 4 p.m., you either have to make an appointment or drive 7 miles to Oak Grove. Speaking of 4 p.m., that's what time the pool closed. The only redeeming feature of this place was the swimming pool, which closed during the hottest part of the day. I paid for 48 hours but left after 29. I'm going to have to have a wheel alignment because of the huge craters in the gravel road. I'm giving it one star because of the potential if this place could be run by competent management, and would give it another half-star for the swimming pool, but all in all the experience was a disaster...the exact opposite of "paradise." It was awful.

We loved Lake Paradise! We camped on the lake, with perfect access for kayaking and paddle boarding! My husband & son thought the fishing was great! It was a million degrees, but the pool was awesome and the owners and staff were super nice! The owners have great plans and are working hard at making many improvements! The only negative: cell & internet service are super spotty. Take a hot spot or plan for a weekend unplugged!!! Definitely choose a site down by the beautiful lake!!!

No comparison to previous ownership, had bad experiences on two previous visits. They have improved the reliability of the sites with more sites still under construction. Seems to be plenty of fish in the lakes, per our experience. Quickly became our new favorite place to camp. The office staff was helpful and friendly. We have every intention of making this our go to camping spot.

The park is huge, 227 acres and 5 lakes. All the roads are chalky gravel (can you say dust?) and very rough, the gatehouse roadway the worst. The buildings shown a LOT of aging with little or no maintenance, just like the grounds. What we observed were mostly full-time residents with neglected grass stuff around their coaches and apparently pets are allowed completely off lease with dog manure EVERYWHERE - especially in the grass of the RV spots. The park is listed for sale and thus, maintenance is at a minimum. Too bad, because at one time this would have been a 5-Star RV park.

I enjoyed this place. Went there to camp (in a tent, not an RV) and it was nice. Our tent was right beside the lake, we grilled, played basketball at the court, rode bicycles, and enjoyed our time. I want to go back, we left before the pool opened. There are some parts of the property that appear slightly unkept or overgrown, but that didn't effect our stay.

What a hidden gem! Nice helpful workers, great prices. Had a beautiful RV spot on the lake with a nice fire pit. We were in site #12. Try to get any of the sites on the lake if you can and you'll have a great time. Beautiful view, so quiet and peaceful. The pool was super unique, huge and clean, overlooking one of the many lakes on the property. Only paid $18.50 with Passport America, full price only around $30 a night, still a great deal. About 30 minutes easy drive into Kansas City for some great BBQ. I almost didn't come here because the owner did not take reservations. I now see why, it's a huge place so it's unnecessary to take reservations. My advice would be for him to start taking reservations or spot requests at least to make people feel comfortable about coming. We all have that story when we're told a spot will be available at a park and after driving all day you find out there is no spot. Our worst nightmare. So at least take the customer's name down and I bet more people will start booking. I didn't see a lot of the other spots, but if you get spot #12 or the spots near there you will enjoy yourself! Thanks for a great stay!

We made a reservation for a weekend. There was massive flooding so we called to see what was available to do/ open. The guy became very rude when we wanted to cancel due to things being closed. He raised his voice and became very short questioning why I made a reservation. For cabins you have to bring your own linens for the beds. Just something good to know. Will take our business elsewhere
