I needed temporary daycare for a couple days where my primary daycare was closed for annual training. They were accommodating for temporary care with the hours I needed. Alexandria the assistant director was friendly during the tour I requested and set me up on their video application to see the live stream. I checked in on the video often and Nacera was great with my 13 month old and appeared very attentive and playful with him. I will be happy to return as needed for the other days that my daycare is closed as needed. Thanks

Do not take your children to this location. The director, Dawn, should not be in the position she is. Completely unprofessional dealing with parents and teachers alike. She has zero business being the director of a child care center. If you notice, most of the positive reviews for this location are from more than a year ago or more recently from parents with babies or young toddlers. It's a whole different ballgame once your child can actually interact with adults verbally and express themselves. The lack of consistency in discipline between the teachers (most are good; Ms Kimmie was amazing) and management (horrible) is extremely concerning as well. We could not get our son out of this center fast enough at the end.

My daughter has gone to the school at 119th and Ridgeview since she was 1.5 years old. I've loved it from the start. I recommend this school to everyone I know. I love the teachers and management staff, they always help with any issue I've ever had. There has been some teachers come and go but anywhere you go you'll find that! It's been 5 years since we started there and I doubt she'll leave la petite until she's 11 and Rie just can't go anymore!

Zero stars. We have cut ties with this daycare. It's like having a bunch of 13 year olds watching your children. If the teachers and director have any child development schooling, they need to go back to school. Save your money and your sanity and choose a daycare where they actually know how to care for children. They are also very short staffed but have now enrolling signs out. They aren't capable of caring for the children enrolled now. Keep driving past this daycare. There are others which are capable and better for your child.

I previously gave five stars for this place back when we enrolled under the last director. Boy oh boy, things have changed. If I could give it a negative score, I would. Frequent staff changes, poor communication, an absolutely clueless director who will nag you to pay fees without being able to disclose the amount (how can I pay you if you won't tell me how much?! Eventually I just paid what I thought it would be and then had to deal with getting credited my overpayment later). The teacher would play with the other children and just hand my child a cell phone because they didn't feel like dealing with him. If you want a strong armed woman to bully your children while you're at work, this is the place to go. Hate getting realistic updates on your child? This place has got you covered. Want to deal with chronic diarrhea in your lactose intolerant child because daycare doesn't understand that there's lactose in cheese? Don't worry, they'll ensure that you are nursing a sick child night after night. And when you leave, they'll make sure to send you a bill for leaving without notice. Seriously, go somewhere that will provide your child with growth opportunities and an environment that will enable them to thrive. My son is doing amazing in a new center that's built on compassion and education - not milking you for every cent they can get while providing the least rewarding experience possible.

My daughter has been going to this la petite for almost 2 years and we have had some difficulties when a new director arrived. The teachers are wonderful and really care about the children. The director needs to hire more help to make it less stressful on the main teachers and help cover breaks. I have heard multiple times from different teachers that they haven't had a break and have worked 8 hours, teachers have to have their breaks or they are not going to be the excellent teachers they are.

My son was previously enrolled in another La Petite in Shawnee and he really struggled. Although his particular teacher was really engaged none of the others were, so at lunch time or whenever she stepped out for a break there always seemed to be issues. He would cry from the moment we left the house until I dropped him off. He hated it there. When we transferred to the Olathe school things completely turned around. The teachers are much more engaged, I get much better status updates and most of all - he's always happy to go. This school is wonderful.

Unfortunately I do not have the best review for this particular location in Olathe, KS. When I called to ask about why my niece had not been picked up again from her half day of school (which has happened multiple times) I was met with hostility and rudeness. I was not privy to all the information prior so I simply called to get some background information so that I could call the school back and let them know. I explained that the bad attitude was not necessary. In addition, my sister was met with more rudeness and profanity when she went into to discuss the matter. Perhaps this particular staff person was having a bad day. You never know, but I will say the matter could have been handled in a more professional manner and certainly without the use of profanity. Sad day indeed!

Our son has been attending this location since he was about 5 months old and we couldn't be happier. The staff are attentive, kind, and are genuinely interested in my child's well being. We are excited for our new son to begin attending in a few weeks. We highly recommend this daycare.

My husband and I used to LOVE taking our daughter here. The director that we had come to know and love for about 3 years, Brandi, decided to leave to pursue another opportunity for her and her family. Her replacement, Dawn, that had taken MONTHS to find which is another issue in and of itself, has changed things dramatically in the worst possible manner for my family. She is the worst person to communicate with, the phone is never answered when we call no matter how many times a day. And when we communicate in person it's always an argument of how we are somehow wrong and she is right about something that wasn't even part of the discussion. She is always on the offensive, her greetings in both the mornings and evenings sound disgustingly sarcastic and insincere. My husband has seen her treat a few of her employees so disrespectfully in the evenings when he goes to pick up RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM! When I have a question about ANYTHING she never has an answer and always uses the excuse that she is a "new director" when my question was of the most simple manner and nothing to do with her time spent as a director. She treats our conversations as inconvenient distractions and as if she has something more important to do than to communicate with her families. For these reasons and more we have already left and will never be recommending another La Petite to our friends and family considering they would have someone such as herself the face of this building!
