This Ft.Scott find had a very extensive menu including vegetarian options. The service was quick an friendly. Latin music filled the colorful room line with booths. The old tin tile ceiling could use a little talc, but adds to the experience. Not to mention it was very reasonably priced!

Great service, homemade salsa. Food is always great. And the beer is extra cold! Best Mexican in town!

I love the refried beans and rice. Just really well made, the beans are very soft and flavorful. I was lucky enough to meet the lady that cooks all the food when I stopped in with my mother in law, she was so sweet. I told her that I appreciate all her cooking and that it's what keeps me going back. The tamales and poblano relleno are lights out. Best Mexican I have had in a long time.

One of the worst Mexican restaurants I've been to. My husband and I had lunch, he had a tamale & I had the chicken tortilla soup. Neither one was very good. Nothing wrong specifically but sure didn't have much flavor. We won't be going back.

I gave this restaurant a 2, and that was generous. I am allowing one point for the great location of the restaurant in historic downtown Fort Scott. The inside of the restaurant itself is just so-so, nothing exciting or pleasant. But I gladly put up with that if the food is great. Well, it's been a long time since I've been to a Mexican restaurant where I didn't like anything. Well, that's not true. The chips were okay and the water was fine. After we left, we both commented that there was just something odd about the flavor of the food and the salsas (one of which we were charged $1.99 for) that just didn't taste right. Neither of us finished our meals. There's another Mexican restaurant in south Fort Scott that is better, but if we want really great-tasting Mex we head to El Caballo de Oro in Pittsburg or numerous places in Joplin.

The food was terrible. I ordered carne asada and it was so bad. More onions than carne, more beans and salad than rice. It didn't come with avocados (on the menu, it said the salad comes with avocado). The beans were so dry. The carne asada tastes terrible. Taste like bad meat, like it was expired or something. One of the staff members was passing the vacuum, and it was too loud. People were having a conversation, and he passed the vacuum next to their table. They were having a hard time hearing the people they were having a conversation with. They took like 10 minutes to take my order. It was only three tables with people ( no need to take that long). The strawberry lemonade was watery, and the chip salsa tasted more like cilantro than tomatoes... I really don't recommend this place at all. I wish they could do something about my bad experience.
