La Cubana Cuban Restaurant

My favorite Cuban Sandwich!The slow cooked pork is flavorful and the cheese perfectly melted with crunchy pickles. The fries are good, but next time I'm gonna have it was cavassa ( starchy root vegetable ). The menu is authentic and everything is made in house ( except desserts are brought in from a local bakery ).

This little gem is literally in my backyard and the cassava is amazing! I'm trying a Cuban panini next time. You order at the counter and they bring your order to you. Small venue with more tables than I expected.

Wow. Some of the friendliest service I have had in the city. We were in early on a Saturday for lunch and we were immediately greeted and welcomed. The food was incredible. People aren't lying when they say this is the best Cuban in KC. I think I agree! My only critique would be the bread was a bit dry, but that is being very picky. I can't wait to go back and try more items. This restaurant was clean, bright, and had a relaxed vibe.

Not even close to the best Cuban sandwich that I have eaten. The salad and bean soup that come with the meal were more impressive. The bar tender was less than attentive and seemed more bothered than helpful. I will continue my search for the best Cuban sandwich in DC. Cuban sandwich 3 stars (2 stars for the price). The rest of the staff was great and the restaurant is nice

i wasn't too adventurous at La Cubana; I stuck with one of my favorite sandwiches - a Cuban with fries for $13. The sandwich was absolutely Fi-Delicious. Grilled panini style and stuffed with sliced ham, pulled pork, cheese, pickles, mayo and mustard. One of the best I've had. The fries were standard, yet cooked well and hot. Service was polite and the joint was clean, although the art on the walls was straight out of Big-Lots. I'd love to return for some croquetas or Cuban tacos.

Location: East Kansas CityAmbiance: indoor seating. This is not a fancy place. It's mainly a homemade food vibe. The neighborhood does not seem safe. However, you can park your car juat in front of the restaurant. Additionally, they offer delivery Food: To my knowledge, this is the only restaurant there is, that is, exclusively Cuban food. I used to live in Miami, so I am very familial with this delicious cuisine. This restaurant is actually good. Ropa vieja (shreded beef) from el tropical was ok. The fried tostones (plantains) were overcooked and dry. On the other hand, el tipico with pork was just delicious. Very moist. On point.Service: It was great. All the ladies were nice and made us feel taken care ofYelp factor: This is the only dedicated Cuban restaurant, and overall, it is a good representative of their food. If you haven't tried Cuban food before, please adventure now. You won't regret it

Just found this gem the staff are very nice and friendly. I love their staff's recommendation of their special tropical juice- Mamey shake! The fried snapper taste was very crispy and satisfying. I wish they would have a better seating, like a booths or something, it felt little bit chilly inside in the cold weather. But the price is very good for dinner. We will come back to Cuban restaurant!

Had the best lunch and service at La Cubana Restaurant! So good! The food was delicious. I also got a guava smoothie. Next time I'm getting dessert!!!!

Incredible Cuban sandwich and fries! You can't go wrong with that classic, but anything on the menu is great. Don't forget to get a coffee, too! I always get Cuban food whenever I go to Florida (I know - not the same as Cuba, but Cuban food there is great!), and the Cuban sandwiches here are easily some of the best - if not the best - Cuban sandwiches I've ever had.

Real authentic Cuban food. Many of the dishes remind me of the flavors that my mother and grandmother cooked when I was a child. Nice sized portions and reasonable prices. Parking is a bit sparse but everything else is great.
