THE BUFFET IS FINALLY BACK, and I can't believe it took me a whole year to find out! I've always loved this place for their buffet, and they've brought it back with the same amazing taste they had pre-COVID which is fantastic. The chicken biryani is to die for! The flavors are just perfect. The pakoras are crispy and delicious, and the butter chicken is rich and creamy...everything tastes amazing! The staff were friendly and the restaurant was fairly clean making my last visit a pleasant dining experience. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out. I 100% recommend it...it's hands down the best buffet in Kansas City!Buffet days - Friday to Sunday from 11 am to 2.30 pm.

I've always loved the biriyani options at Kurry Leaves, but this time I decided to try something different. We ordered:- Chicken 65 (starter) (4.5/5)- Goat Kadai (4.5/5)- Garlic Naan (4/5)The Chicken 65 was generously portioned for two, with a well-balanced spice level and perfectly cooked chicken. The Goat Kadai was tender and featured a delicious gravy that paired excellently with the Garlic Naan. Although the Garlic Naan was a bit disappointing, the standout Mutton Kadai made up for it. The service was as excellent as always, with the staff being welcoming and attentive. The ambiance was calm and free from external noise, enhancing the dining experience.

We went on Christmas and happened to arrive right at opening time that evening. The place is small but the tables were not overcrowded in the space. We were greeted nicely and the staff was present but not overly so. We were the only ones there for about 15-20 minutes but only one other party came in. We ordered the Chicken Byriani and Chicken Tikka and had the fried veggies as an appetizer. The appetizer was BIG! Way more than for two of us. We asked for everything mild but the Byriani he toldIs was between a mild and medium. My boyfriend liked it a lot, I didn't eat much because it was too spicy but if the spice was not there the taste was soo good. It was good spicy I just couldn't eat much. I love a good Tikka masala and theirs was great. Portion sizes were good other than the two breads we ordered. Naan and a thinner one. I felt we could have had a little more but we were full and happy so it wasn't a big deal. Just know if you order you get basically one bigger piece cut in half and so if there are four of you two orders might not be enough. I would like to try their lunch buffet sometime. We will be back.

Without a doubt, this is our favorite Indian restaurant. The food is always consistent, average priced, and the service is always nice. This chicken 65 is super good. It's incredibly moist with a lot of delicious spices. The garlic Naan is to die for. It comes out hot and crisp. It's literally perfect every single time. Warning: all their curries are spicy even if you ask for the lowest spice level. So not the best place to bring your kids. We always get no spice, but it's always quite spicy but the food is so good we end up still loving it. They usually don't have a lot of servers but they are always trying their best and they try to help everyone as quickly as possible. You can tell its a family restaurant, which makes us love it even more. We come here for lunch often and it is full of South asian people...so you know it has to be legit and good.

4.5 stars because they weren't great at checking on us when we needed something, but it was pretty busy. The prices are reasonable and the portions are filling. This is the first Indian place I've tried in Overland Park so it set the bar. I enjoyed dinner here and would come again. No photos because I was too hungry. :pI liked that the entrees came with rice, although it was just plain basmati with no flavor.Gobi Manchurian (spicy fried cauliflower, $10.99): I'm weak to spicy foods and this was spicy. It was delicious, though. Even drenched in spicy sauce, the fried cauliflower texture came through. So good.Butter chicken ($15.99): This had a more typical curry flavor than I expected, when the butter chicken dishes I've had elsewhere taste more like tomato and less like cumin/turmeric. I definitely preferred the tikka masala sauce, but I also do prefer tomato and cream flavors. Chicken 65 ($11.99): As someone who can't handle spicy, I thought it would be really spicy but it was less spicy than the gobi manchurian. Delicious, though I'm not sure if I'd get it again. I feel like you can get a variation of spicy sauced fried chicken in other cuisines.Goat curry ($16.99): I tried this because someone else ordered it. This was flavorful and delicious, so I'm thinking of ordering it next time. Not spicy, but well-spiced.Chicken tikka masala ($15.99): Good chicken tikka-- creamy, tomato-y, and flavorful without being too salty. The chicken was the tiniest bit dry, but that's a nitpick because it was delicious.Garlic naan/naan ($3.50/$2.50): The garlic naan here is fantastic. A hearty amount of fresh garlic on it

The best Indian food in KC, in my opinion.I guess this is from the Pakistani area of influence for Indian cuisine. The owner is super sweet and her recipes are amazing. My favorite is the velvety smooth and creamy korma. They have a Kansas korma that is basically a vegetable mix that I love and makes me feel good about eating my veggies. Love the Chicken tikki Masala too. The garlic naan is great!

Loving Indian food, visited Kurry Leaves on 127th and Metcalf on a Fri night. The place was 80% full. First impression was people were mostly smiling and enjoying themselves. I went with a standby and ordered Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. The Butter Chicken was creamy and favorable, the chicken chunks were uniform - and overall delious. When asked did l desire mild or medium, l said medium. I really prefer hot spice but wanted to try their medium and it was spot on. The Naan was full of garlic and was roasted very well. This was just a sample of their food and l started to also smile as l enjoyed myself.

This food was SO GOOD. We came because I had a hankering for gobi Manchurian and my favorite spot for that dish has closed (boooo!). As you can see in the photo, it was large, it was crispy, it was saucy. We ordered mild spice because south Asian spice levels scare me. The dish still had a little kick to it tho!I totally forgot to snap a photo of our rogan josh and naan, but they were excellent. If we ordered the rogan josh again, we'd get more spice than mild. It was delicious though! The lamb was fall apart tender, the sauce was great. The naan was very crispy on the outside, and was (to my taste) more pancake flavor than yeast bread flavor. I'd be interested to try their garlic naan, just because this was such a "background character" bread. If we had been more adventurous with our spice level, this bread would be exactly what I wanted though. Our server was so friendly and prompt, too. We will definitely be back!
