Three friends and I just had a MARVELOUS lunch at Kin Lin, and we are especially grateful to Miranda, our server, for making it such a special event! When we arrived, Miranda was working the entire front of the house; she let us know about that but in a very kind and gentle way--just so we would know what to expect. As we navigated the menus (she brought us both lunch and dinner versions so that we'd know all the options), she gave us details about particular dishes, including the ingredients and how they were prepared. That was very important to us, as two of our party have dietary restrictions. She was friendly and cheerful and so accommodating, making notes for the chef regarding modifications of some of the dishes. She brewed a pot of delicious oolong-jasmine tea for us, and kept the pot refilled throughout our meal. She was incredibly gracious from start to finish, and really did create a special occasion for us.The food itself was DELICIOUS! We had the eggplant (the sweet version) as an appetizer, rice balls for dessert, and a different main course for each of us. I chose the Triple Delight (chicken, shrimp and vegetable) lunch special, which was a perfect portion size, and everything was yummy. I can't remember everyone's dishes, but I do remember one of the dishes was a shrimp fried rice with curry sauce; my friend shared some with me, and it was fabulous! Our spring rolls were crisp, and the rice was perfectly cooked, and everyone raved about the flavors in their dishes. The cost of our meals was extremely reasonable, and the ambience of the restaurant is warm and cozy. It was a perfect meal of truly excellent food, and many thanks again to Miranda for making it so special! Happy New Year!

If you need a quick to-go Chinese takeout, this is a good place to try! It reminds me a lot of a Chinese place I had back in college. It's a good mix of Chinese-American dishes as well as authentic Chinese dishes too. I haven't sat in, so there are a few dishes that I'd love to try but is moreso for a sit-down experience rather than takeout.I really enjoy the mapo tofu, the shredded pork with tofu dishes! I asked them to take away the carrots from the shredded pork dish, and to my surprise, they subbed it with other vegetables! I was not expecting that at all!Service is pretty fast and the staff is very polite and nice. Maybe one day I'll be able to sit in and try some of their more shareable dishes, but for now, I enjoy grabbing takeout every now and then!

While the food was ok, the description of my entree was not accurate- it was listed as chicken with garlic and "Chinese broccoli", but it was actually chicken and bok choy. I was expecting Gai Lan. If they were out, they should have notified me. It was priced at a premium over some of the other dishes, and I certainly would not have ordered it had I known it was bok choy,

The Mongolian beef should have been called the Mongolian vegetable platter. The hot and sour soup was good however.

This is one of three Chinese restaurants close to my house, but I don't frequent it after some disappointing experiences. I'm convinced this is one of those restaurants that has some gems on the menu, you just have to figure out what's great and what should be skipped. I was shipping at Whole Foods for dinner and nothing sounded good. I pulled out my phone and ordered some food to pick up across the street instead. I wanted to try something different so I picked a dish I'd never seen on any Chinese men before - Cumin Fish. To me, it tasted more spicy than anything. I would call it Chili Fish instead. The description from the menu is: "Fish of the day cooked in a spicy cumin sauce with chili, mushrooms, carrots, snow peas, onions and zucchini." It was fine, but I wouldn't order it again. Maybe because it was takeout and steamed in the container, but the coating on the fish wasn't crispy and as a whole it just didn't work for me, but I'm glad I tried it. 3/5The fried spring rolls were really gross. They tasted like mass-produced, freezer-section garbage. I don't like white pepper and sometimes Chinese restaurants use a lot of white pepper in spring rolls or egg rolls. These were gross because the insides were mushy. With just mushy dough and veg filling on the inside and crispy, greasy outside I would never again order these. 1/5Ordering online, there are deals for spending a certain amount. Since my order was over $20, I could add a soup for free. I picked the Bean Curd and Vegetable Soup and this was the best choice I made. I would happily eat this soup all the time. It's a clear, flavorful broth with crisp, fresh veggies. Delicious! I'll return for Kin Lin just for this soup alone. I just hope I can find an entree good enough to make it worth my while. 5/5Service is hit-or-miss here, but the online order pickup in the lobby was easy enough and the service was pleasant. It gets a little confusing/crowded with so many people there for DoorDash and UberEats, but it was still good. 4/5Egg Roll/Spring Roll: 1/5Veggie Soup: 5/5Cumin Fish: 3/5To-go Service: 4/5

you can tell it's an authentic chinese restaurant by the decorations. ordered takeout during lunch and there did not seem to be many customers. it was my first time at this place and i hope they get more business during dinner time because you can tell there were only a handful of dedicated workers. it's in a predominantly white area. food was great! i would say definitely go during lunch as food can be pricey.

Got to my destination to find they left out cutlery. Also the beef and broccoli should be named - Broccoli and Carrots. There's hardly any beef. I asked for 2 fried rices. Was given only one fried rice and was given a white rice.

No, just no. The food from this restaurant was so unbelievably salty that you couldn't taste anything else. We got three appetizers all of which had clearly been warmed up in a microwave with no dipping sauces. Spring rolls, crab, Rangoon, and scallion pancake was literally no scallions in it and so greasy you had to hold it with a napkin. we ordered three entrées. House special, lo mein, curry egg noodles with chicken and vegetables and chicken and vegetables with rice. All three tasted the same... Like salt. Please don't waste your money.
