Ive read all the horror stories about choosing the wrong seamstress. Well, I am also now a victim of bad alterations, unfortunately. my dress was on for 15 mins & as I hugged a family member, before the ceremony, the strap separated from my dress. It was held together with a safety pin in order to through the ceremony. I refrained from hugging family and friends all night. As you can see, the broken strap is very noticeable. As the night went on. The back seem near the zipper was separating. And then one of the five point bustle broke. My dress was literally falling apart. We called the seamstress Monday morning. She was only willing to pay for the broken straps. My alterations were $669. Straps, seems and bustles shouldn't fall apart. My heart is broken. The dress was so beautiful and all I can see are the broken areas in all my pictures. Please please please be careful who you choose.

I love how easy it was to schedule an appointment! The online website was perfectly done and explained all the options with transparency. I needed an appointment for my wedding dress and had lots of options available. Quick and easy appointment! I love that if you have a question you can just text the staff and they actually get back to you!

I went here for my wedding dress alterations and to get it steamed the week of the wedding -- both times were lovely experiences! Very fair pricing, quick work, very professional and friendly people. Thanks so much!

Can't thank Kendra and Sam enough!! Not only did they make some serious alterations to my dress, they also removed shoulder pads from my beloved grandmothers fur coat! They take such care in their work and are really great to work with. The location was a solid 30 mins for me but worth the drive every time!

Great craftsmanship! Unique design . Great people ! Kendra is very sweet and knows her business ! She has done multiple complicated dresses and simple alterations as well! Definitely recommend!

My wedding gown was custom designed and has an intricate layer of lace, so I was hesitant to entrust it to anyone for alterations. Thankfully, Kendra is amazing! She got the job done quickly and for a very reasonable price. She was so nice and helpful throughout the process, too. The gown fit perfectly after only one pass of alterations, and the bustle kept my train out of the way of rogue feet despite being on the dance floor most of the night. I definitely recommend her!

Kendra helped me fix my dress just days before my wedding. My dress was too tight so she took out the zipper in back and replaced it with a lace up backing. She also adjusted the straps which were not laying evenly. I'd been so stressed and disappointed in my dress and with her help, it fit perfectly and looked great. She was very nice, fixed it extremely quickly, and charged fairly. Highly recommend!!

She altered my wedding dress and added a seven point bustle for me that was perfect! She also did some small side alterations to some buttons on jeans that I needed altered. Everything was done in a timely manner and Kendra was very professional.

Had my dress altered here at Kendra J. I worked with Rose and Paul. We did quite a bit including adding to my bust, adding boning, adding darts to bring the straps in and hem. They were very thoughtful as I am not native to KC so had my final appointment by myself. They taped the bustle for me to show my family. Prices were very fair for the amount of work they did I expected more! It's also the cutest studio!

I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about Kendra. She was recommended to me for my wedding dress alteration by the salon I bought my dress from. She did an amazing job taking in my intricately laced dress and strived for perfection. She worked very quickly and I had my dress back less than a month. When I picked up my dress, she realized the bottom didn't sit exactly right and fixed the hem before I took it home that day.While all of that was wonderful, she was an actual angel for me on my wedding day. When I took my dress out of my bag that morning, the tulle layer somehow had a HUGE rip along the seam. I texted a picture to Kendra and she offered to bring her sewing machine to where I was getting ready...HOURS before her shop even opened that day. Just amazing. She saved the day and fixed my wedding dress quickly!! THANK YOU!
