Kehde's BBQ

This had become a staple stop when we come home from the lake of the Ozarks. Such a wide variety of menu options, barbecue, comfort, food, salad, and homemade pie. My go to is the fried catfish with cornbread meal, but also have tried the barbecue. This will continue to be one of our staple stops due to the friendly staff and the great tasting food.

Wow is about all I can say. BBQ pork sandwich and baked beans. The basics of life and the best taste ever. I was a little concerned that the place was going to be all about the look -- which is great -- and not about the food. However, I was wrong again...fun restaurant with great food. The place was packed for a Thursday lunch but we got seated right away. The waitstaff were cheerful and we had excellent service. I wished I could remember her name, but they all looked like they were happy and they were hustling. Great job and great food. Way to go.

A fun thing to do with the kid, after all, it's an old train car, but it did seem rushed, e.g., rapport with the server was more labor than it should have been, you may know the menu, but I don't. While I may use them for takeout in the future I'm not too keen on repeating the experience. Fair prices for the quality of food, a non-cynical kid's menu .e.g good value, and not the usual attempt to cut costs that you see in a lot of chain restaurants. Good coffee which was kept topped up,: BBQ beans were excellent and went a long way to make the burnt ends taste good. the basic fries were soggy, but the thick ones were great, it's a mixed bag. Worth doing once to see if that's your kind of thing.

The food is always really good . It's a family owned business and they are ver nice in there . When friends come from out of town I always take them there cause I know knedes won't let me down ! Tenderloin is good , ribs are good , beef brisket !

Can't say enough good things about our lunch today at Kehde's BBQ!Karen, (her real name,lol) was so pleasant, laughing and joking with her numerous clientele.I had the "Daily Special" of Catfish, served piping hot, and a delicious cole slaw. My new-friend Bob had a Beef sandwich with waffle fries, which were also crispy and delicious.Thank you Karen for letting us 'hog up' a good table during your Friday lunch rush!

Loved this place!!! The food was so tinder. The waitress and waiter were on the ball as soon as we got there. I loved sitting on the train car. We will definitely be back!!!

Service was excellent. They were very helpful with accommodating food allergies. Unfortunately the food was just average and lukewarm. The meat was pretty good quality and the beans were quite good. The water was absolutely terrible, I'd get a soda if you do dine here. Bbq sauce is pretty good, a bit too sweet. Overall not a bad place to grab lunch while passing through.

Greeted as we came thru the door. Server made recommendations when asked. Food was delivered in reasonable time. Atmosphere was awesome.

If you find yourself in Sedalia and you don't stop and get some BBQ, your loss! The food is fantastic, fast service, and a great value. We live at Lake of the Ozarks, and Kehde's BBQ beats everyone there hands down. The dinning car from the days of old is a great highlight to the visit.
