Attended a yoga class at 0830 am on a Snow Sunday Morning today and had a great time and workout! The class was a Community Yelp event spearheaded by Kieu, Yelp KC Community Coordinator.I've done yoga before and actually had a membership at a yoga studio in LA in the past, but after not doing it for 2 years, I was a little apprehensive to get back into it. Luckily, the instructor today was very chill and gave a class fitting to beginners and more geared for a relaxing time than an intense strength/endurance test. She was very clear with the instructions and with only 9 attendees there, she was able monitor us and made comments/tips to help us get the best out of the class. She was very personable, nice and had lovely stories to share. It was a very personalized class as opposed to feeling like she made it the same for every class. All the mats, blocks, straps, blankets, and pillow were available to use for class. Perfect for those who don't have all the equipment!Facility was clean and the bathroom was clean. The Yelp KC Community Coordinator, Kieu, provided healthy snacks and drinks after the class. Thanks for making this event possible! It was a donation yoga class, but I like how the instructor didn't hound us on giving a tip or donation. She just made it an option if we could, which was nice. I did end up tipping and luckily she took credit cards!

I recently went to an early morning yoga class. It was a snowy day but I'm really glad I made it! I haven't ever really done yoga before but Nancy made me feel welcomed. I am not very flexible or balanced but it didn't matter! We had props to help and make us feel comfortable. Our class was very relaxed, not super full and relaxing. Our instructor chose to do a more beginner level / relaxed class since some of us hadn't done yoga before. As usual, the instructor was in the front of the class but she still made her way around the room. If one of us was doing a position incorrectly or needed a little guidance, she was gentle in handling and helping us. I didn't feel silly if I fell over or had her come help me.They had mats, blocks, straps and blankets available. Which, thank goodness, because I don't own any of these! After the class, our coordinator had snacks and drinks set up for after the class.I'm very glad the class wasn't canceled due to the scary weather and I will for sure be looking into taking up some classes here!

KC Yoga Kula located in the now very active and awesome area of 63rd Street which is being revitalized with so much TLC from folks like Butch Rigby. Being a long time KC resident, and having lived in that same area, I love what I am seeing. And another yoga studio, complete with the promise of community makes all of the revitalization even sweeter. This studio is still in it's infancy and is evolving as I type this. Things are just starting to bloom at the space for Nancy Kaul owner AKA The Nice Yogi. The biggest takeaway from KC Yoga Kula for me = COMMUNITY. It is beyond apparent that this is what Nancy wants to bring to the area. It's apparent in every aspect of how she is developing her business, and the "family"of students she is already forming & welcoming into her studio.I went to the open house, as well as different styles of classes. And after talking with Nancy, I learned that the studio is open 7 days a week, and offers a week free option. And there are a variety of styles, teachers, and times. And as with any new business, I am assuming these things are a work in progress, and feedback on what students need and want will be taken into consideration as the studio grows with time. The website provides all of the necessary details, too (something I am thrilled about seeing that so many businesses seem to think that an inactive facebook page is all they need, or perhaps nothing at all). I'm super impressed and happy when I find a business that gives me all of the information I need on a website. I am a devoted yogi, and I LOVE having new places to practice. This will be one of the many stops on my journey of yoga class adventures. And I look forward to watching as the studio grows along with the community it is cultivating.

Done a few aerial yoga classes here, which has been a cool experience. Plus their prices are affordable. You can also sign up on Classpass (http://class.ps/nBeID) and get a month of free yoga classes to use here, among other places.
