I must say I had the best fluff filled long John ever. We got a variety of everything. It was all very soft and well done donuts. I really like Lamar's but this is my new favorite. Better donuts and better prices. The owner was working when I came in which is a sign of good quality and experience. You can see the careful preparation of each donut. The food case look perfect and everything was clean and simple. The coffee was fresh and good as well.

This new location served up a delicious donut with a smile and a competitive price during my takeout visit. My cinnamon sugar cake donut ($1.69) was fresh and tasty. It was one of many donut varieties available (they offer approx. 40 varieties on weekdays and 60 varieties on weekends). They also offer coffee with various flavor options and several bottled beverages..I noticed a clean and new dining area with tables inside and a patio outside. Additional interior decorations, more tables and background music are on the way. I found the service to be stellar - cheerful, friendly and efficient - nice!Overall, very good!

I've been meaning to stop here for a few months and finally got around to it today. First impression is it's a very cute space and the cashier was very friendly. The case was quite full but not much variety. I asked what his favorite option was and he said the sugar glazed. Which was something I noticed. No traditional glazed donuts. But since it was my first time there, I ordered the strawberry glazed, the chocolate glazed and the sugar glazed. Price was good. Once I got to the car, I started in on the strawberry glazed. I hate to say I was really unimpressed. The glaze didn't taste like much of anything. Maybe I tasted a hint of strawberry but if I hadn't ordered a strawberry thing, I would have no idea that's what it was. It also wasn't that fresh. I went around 10 AM so maybe that's on me, but you hope that a locally made donut tastes better than something from the grocery store bakery. I thought the chocolate one was better but still, not sure if it was better than what I could get at Hyvee. And same with the sugar glazed. I just left feeling unimpressed, especially when I'm used to hot, fresh donuts from Lamar's and Krispy Kreme, both of which are much closer and feel fresher. Maybe it's my fault for arriving so late but those were my impressions. That said, they do have some very late hours for the suburbs, during the week.
