Having been to most of the well known mid to high end steakhouses in Kc, we thought we would give this a try. Drinks: Warm water was brought to the table and left for us to refill our own. Warm and self refill, perfect. My wife ordered a gin drink, had a strong mouthwash taste to it and sat at the table without being drank for the duration of our meal. Food: I had the filet, which was ordered medium rare and was medium plus, bordering on well done. They felt inclined to add a sauce to the steak, which for what little flavor the steak had left, was masked by the sauce. My wife had the waygu burger, which was on par with Red Robin. The truffle fries are very large and extremely undercooked. Service: wasn't awful, wasn't great. Not a single inquiry on "is your steak cooked right?, how is your meal? I see you haven't touch the drink, is it okay?" , Ambiance: Loud music, table right where everyone comes and goes from the kitchen.

First of all, our waitress, Kristen, was 5 star!I was expecting the food to be overpriced from reading other reviews. Unfortunately, that's exactly what it was. My husband ordered the prime rib and I had the sea bass. We shared the scalloped potatoes. The prime rib was good, but not great. The scalloped potatoes were really good. The sea bass didn't seem to have any seasoning on it...at all... the base/broth of it was tasty, but that's all. If everything was really great, I'd be happy to pay the price. That just wasn't the case.

My wife and I went on our 25th anniversary, ordered a prime rib, salad, and side. The steak was not cooked to order, took us over 10 minutes to get attention, and once we said the steak was not cooked well we were treated to whining from the waiter and manager and I could not get them to recook the food nor could I get a receipt. I ended up throwing cash on the table and left as they clearly wetter being mean, rude, condescending, and for 100 meal I wasn't putting up with it. Horrible service, food and will never return. Stay away!

On long road trip thru the area mid Nov 2024, we decided to check out one of the local steak places. We didn't realize the KC Chop House was inside a casino but the ratings looked promising. It was about 7pm and we were hungry and tired. There was plenty of parking which was nice but the parking lot was very dark. The Casino looked deserted, old and dated inside and outside. But we navigated thru parts of the Casino anyway and finally found the KC Chop House. The inside was decorated nicely but we couldn't help but notice the interior lighting was quite dim. We were seated promptly but waited a few minutes longer then one would expect. It seemed like they weren't expecting many guests at 7pm? The staff didn't seemed prepared for dinner guests yet. Once we were seated we noticed the table hadn't been set. We didn't have silverware, water or a menu. We weren't offered bread or anything else while we waited. We were a little puzzled because it wasn't busy. There might have been 4 or 5 other tables consisting of 2-4 people. Anyway we were finally greeted and our server seemed nice enough. Once we were given a menu we looked it over and found the prices were pretty high. We were road weary and just wanted to get a good steak. We ordered a couple of drinks, a Lemon Drop which was pretty good but the Kentucky Mule was awful as neither of us could taste any bourbon or whiskey. The ginger beer or ginger ale was flat and the drink was overly sweet. Anyway we ordered a couple of steaks, a fillet, a ribeye and Caesar salad. The fillet looked and tasted good and it was cooked to order. The Ribeye looked pretty sad, a poor cut of meat if I ever saw one, thin, over cooked, over seasoned with a very salty taste. I think they offered broccolini for a side with one or both dishes, but it was really bad. It wasn't fresh and looked old and overcooked. The Caesar salad was sub par, lettuce was kind of wilted, no croutons and the dressing was as a disappointment. The service was good but didn't make up for an expensive mediocre dinner at best. I'm sorry to say it was a big let down and I wouldn't recommend this place for a steak dinner, drinks or a salad.

Food was very good. Had the prime rib and it was perfect. Best option by far at the casino.

Our server was very friendly, but beyond that I was deeply unsatisfied with my experience. I thought based on the reviews they this would be a home run, but was anything but. The cocktail menu is limited, but I had the mango tango and it was tasty although room temperature. My partner had the bacon maple old fashioned, which was clearly made with well liquor and somehow had no maple or bacon flavor. We ordered the panko crusted tuna roll for an appetizer, and it was not good at all. I expected it to be a fried sushi roll but the texture of the crust was more like a homemade air fryer experiment. Very little tuna as well. The lobster bisque didn't skimp on the lobster and the presentation was nice, but the soup definitely needed salt and pepper. It was still the best thing we had. After appetizers, we waited around 30-40 minutes for our meals with only one acknowledgement. The prime rib was very tough - it was a struggle to cut with the knife! Even though one would expect a prime rib to be fatty, this was exceptionally so - at least a quarter of it was a slab of fat. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly to order, but had no sear or flavor. The truffle fries had good flavor but were extremely undercooked. They had no color or crisp to them. We only had a couple. No one asked us how our meal was, otherwise we would've mentioned these issues. We unfortunately will not be back.

Another great meal. Salmon was ordered rare and no salt. It was prepared perfectly with the sauce on the side. First time to try the large filet; it was tender and very flavorful. Also cooked perfectly. Had the Brussels sprouts again--they are always a winner.

1. Coworker ordered a drink Neat and it came out with ice. The resolution from the bar was to strain the ice from the drink and bring it back out. (Losing all of its flavor). After this observation, it should say enough about this establishments service. 2. Prix Fixe Menu items did not come out in order as stated on menu. "First Course" (appetizer) came out as the rest of the tables Entree came out.3. All Steaks were overcooked based on orders4. Wine bottle was served incorrectly when being poured.Overall: If you expect fine dining and good service, you should probably try anywhere else. Wouldn't recommend this place even if they paid me.

Stay away huge disappointment. Overpriced, poor service and incompetent staff. 1) The bartender did not know how to pour a neat whisky. Ordered a double Blantons neat and came out full of ice like a soda. Sent it back because I order it NEAT and I watched her strain the watered down whisky into another glass. Got to be kidding me. 2) I did the 4 course special and my second course (salad) came out before the first (the appetizer)3) when they brought out the main course for the table they brought out my sides and finally the appetizers. No steak. I had to ask if they could bring my steak so I had my entree along with the rest of the table and to go with the broccolini they already brought out. 4) medium rare steak was overcooked and salty. 5) for out of towners the restaurant is inside the casino which is less than ideal. For the price this place is a joke.
