My whole reason to come on this trip was to see the Phillies/Royals game because it was the final stop for my brother-in-law to see mostly the Phillies in every ballpark in the country. It took over two decades, and my brother and I came out to finalize this quest. The ballpark is in the middle of nowhere and is next door to the Chiefs football stadium. Although the park is very old, it was clean and appeared modern. They kept everything in good shape. Signage was good, the concourses were open, and seeing the fountains and waterfalls in the outfield was very pleasant. As you walk around the ballpark, there's a lot for families to do with their kids behind the outfield. Concessions for the most part were like any other ballpark fare. Prices were high, too. However, there were multiple free COLD water stations available. You can also bring your own food in and water (up to one liter) in a clear bag. I did buy a milkshake. The staffer did not know what a black and white was! If you don't know either, it's chocolate and vanilla together to make the shake. Very tasty. We liked the place and since the Phillies lost on Friday, we decided to come Saturday where they beat the bejeezus out of the Royals. One of JT Realmuto's home runs landed in the water in front of our section. Couldn't reach the ball, and if we tried to go in, then it's off to jail we go. We had to deal with some friendly ribbing, but not like in Philadelphia for other fans. When we purchased our tickets for Saturday, one of the volunteers overheard us talking about where to stand, and he was nice enough to check and said once the game started we could sit in a section where there were a lot of empty seats and pointed out specifically where to go. We got a row all to ourselves and we're able to give ourselves some room. The seats are not really meant for big guys. The largest video screen in baseball is set vertically with Roman column lighting behind. Didn't like it. Also did not care for having a large putting green in front of the video board. Visually unappealing especially with the beautiful water fountains and falls off each side.Overall, we had a great time at Kauffman Park and happy we went to the second game because we pulled off a win.

A lovely ballpark! I'm glad l was able to get out to Kauffman Stadium prior to a relocation. Loved how it is not in a city and the parking lot is massive. Entering the game the traffic flow is great. Interested in a parking lot party? Bring your own drink before the game! There is a mini sportsplex for children if you need to entertain a little one during the game. unpopular opinion: I think the stadium is lovely and did not see what the need is for a new stadium.

I've been to hundreds of minor league games and Atlanta games and when I tell you the energy in this was just not it. The crowd was great but the music was in these weird 10 second clips. Where was the sign along YMCA or the chicken dance or the take me out to the ballgame or the SWEET CAROLINE!!!! These are BASEBALL!!! It's the KANSAS CITY ROYALS!!!!

Went to both Royals/Yankees playoff games this year. The P.A. did a terrible job. The management let the whole city down. Have you ever been to a different sporting event? Horrible job keeping the fans energized. Literally could have won those games if the intercom/PA announcers and people playing music would have not been COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT!

Our first time here, and what better way to celebrate your 1st Anniversary together than at a ball game! Out of all of the MLB stadiums I have been to, this one takes 1st place ( sorry, Fenway)! They have a great selection of foods and drink as well as ways to keep the crowd entertained and up to the minute updates on each play. The staff is helpful and polite. They even law enforcement there in case they are needed. There are plenty of restrooms and thankfully clean(a HUGE thanks to the staff for that). It's pretty cool that the fountains change when someone on the Royals hits a homerun and they even shoot off fireworks, too.Needless to say, we will be looking into season tickets.

Since beginning play in 1969, the Kansas City Royals have done OK. The Royals have made it to four World Series (1980, 1985, 2014, 2015) and won twice (1985, 2015). In terms of all-time winning percentage in the regular season, the Royals are at about the 33rd percentile (top of the bottom third of the league). However, in the postseason, the Royals are knocking on the door of a top-five win percentage which is pretty good.2013 through 2015 was an amazing stretch for Kansas City. In 2013, the team posted their best record since 1994. In 2014, they reached their first World Series since 1985. And in 2015, they won it all. Current Royals general manager Dayton Moore oversaw this success. Moore came to Kansas City after working over a decade for the Atlanta Braves.Salvador Perez (C), Alex Gordon (OF), and Greg Holland (P) played in both the 2013 and 2014 All-Star Games. Perez and Gordon would return to the All-Star Game in 2015 and be joined by Alcides Escobar (SS), Lorenzo Cain (OF), Mike Moustakas (3B), Wade Davis (P), and Kelvin Herrera (P). Needless to say, the Royals' 2015 team was star-studded. Cain and Escobar went on to earn ALCS MVP honors in 2014 and 2015, respectively, while Perez was named World Series MVP in 2015.For most of the ballpark's existence, the Royals have played at Kauffman Stadium. Originally opened in 1973, the K has a seating capacity of 37,903. It's named after the founder and original owner of the team, Ewing Kauffman. Parking at Kauffman Stadium must be purchased in advance. For more info, visit https://www.mlb.com/royals/ballpark/transportation.A cool and unique feature of the K is its giant water fountain that is 322 feet wide. They call it the "Water Spectacular:" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T79TxuCa8iA.

This was probable one of the best games and days to attend a Royals game. They were playing against the Baltimore Orioles and won 5-3!The weather was perfect and so was the company.

Good weather, great seats and the Turkey Burger was 1/2 price of the traditional buger places at the stadium and taste great . My wife got the Beyond Buger which is plant based, it was 13.00 and she said she enjoyed it. I tasted her Beyond Buger and it taste more like fish sandwich with the texture of beef.Hreat day to see a game and accommodating stafe with professional service.
