What a lovely experience and theatre company! We very much enjoyed the play we saw about the Constitution. So well done! The theater itself is very nice and modern. This is a treasure for KC. We will go as often as we can. Everything was easy: tickets, parking, access. Just lovely!

A wonderful location and space for live theater that is located inside the H & R Block headquarters in the Power and Light District. Parking is on site in a basement garage and free with a validated pass. Tons of options in the area for pre or post show coffee, shopping, food or drink. The streetcar stop is only a block away. The theater itself is awesome. Capacity is about 350 and with steep stadium seating and there is not a bad sight-line in the venue. I had a person on each side of me and never felt uncomfortable. Wide cushioned seats with side mounted retractable trays to rest your arms, beverage or snack.I attended School Girls 3/16/19. A first rate production and we already plan on returning in May for Frida - A Self Portrait. The KC Rep and the Copaken Stage are one of the jewels in Kansas City's crown.

Love stopping off at the Copaken Stage In the H&R Block building to see a KCRep production. This theatre is located in the Power & Light District with many offerings for before and after dinner and drinks. Parking garage is located between 13th & 14th streets and is accessible from either Walnut or Main. Parking on P2-P5 and you'll have to ring the buzzer to let security know you're attending a show and they'll let you in to the elevators that go up to the lobby. Take your ticket and get validation in the lobby. Concessions open an hour before the show and they have a lovely patio off the north entrance of the lobby on 13th street. Don't let the city parking and traffic scare you away. Great performances and getting in and out is easy breezy!

Really nice venue to go see a great play. Located in the H&R Block building downtown it is located near a lot of nice restaurants for a way to start a nice evening. The theatre does a nice job of presenting a nice fun filled evening. You should give this a try especially if you have never been.

I have become convinced that there is no such thing as a bad seat in this theater. I have had the fortune of sitting on the front row, the (relative) misfortune of sitting almost all the way in the back, and everywhere in between. I have always ended up with a great view of the stage, and the quality acoustics mean I never need to struggle to hear what's going on. I'm not going to spend any time reviewing a particular production, but I will say that The KC Rep seems to be on a bit of a roll lately. I have consistently been impressed with the acting and sets. Even if I end up not being totally won over by the show itself, I can always trust that those two aspects will be top notch. Add in reasonable ticket prices and a great location, and I am comfortable saying that for KC theater, the Rep is as good as it gets!

Holy moly, stadium seating! This is a WONDERFUL place to watch a show. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house (unless you're afraid of heights). Most recently saw their production of Little Shop of Horrors and it was just fabulous. Definitely a cult classic but aside from me liking the story to begin with, the acoustics were spot-on. The lighting was dealt with beautifully and I just can't get over how great the overall show was. We sat in the balcony, in the center and it was just a really nice experience. I would definitely recommend and revisit.
