Not bad it's just hard to go here because it smells very bad. I know it's a terrible thing to say but it's true. I would love to be able to meet with people here but I can't because it's not a comfortable environment to hang out in. I only go to get in and out, I usually have a mission and can't stay

I haven't been inside a public library since my high school years, so it definitely felt nostalgic walking through those doors. I was here last Saturday in order to submit my passport application. The ladies at the desk were super thorough and helpful, going through all my documents to ensure I had everything I needed, and that the guidelines laid out by the state had been followed. She even ended up catching an issue with my documents.I had submitted a birth certificate abstract instead of a full birth certificate, which would not have been a valid proof of citizenship evidence. I was not aware that they wouldn't take abstracts, so I was glad she had caught that! It would have been a real bummer to spend $145 and time on a passport application only for it to have been rejected.Unfortunately, I didn't have my original birth certificate, since my parents had lost it during one of our many moves, and so I had to order a new one. The library employee offered to write down the name of a site where I would be able to order one from, and I was able to expedite my birth certificate there and get it in 3 days instead of the normal 3 weeks.I returned Thursday with all of the correct documents in hand, to begin my second attempt. The employee this time was also very thorough, and noticed that the photo copies that I had made of my IDs, had part of the IDs cut off, since I had placed them in the corner of the scanning glass. Luckily for me, she was nice enough to make new copies of the IDs for me, and she also ended up making a copy of the back side of my application, since I had printed out the application front and back. I wasn't aware that wasn't allowed, so I appreciate her help with fixing the mistakes that I had made. The staff here are super patient and friendly, and I would definitely recommend their services for anyone in need of a new passport!

The neighbor hood needed a library. Some where that the locals could use the internet, Spanish speaking community could find resources and kids could hang out after school and in the summer. Yeah its small, like probably the smallest one in KC, but if you need a book just order it. Bonus they have a chess/checker tables outside on the front lawn that the good fellas sometimes occupy.

Went here for a class and to explore this library which I have not been before. It's very close to downtown and it's a very small but nice library. Friendly staff and great for the kids to check out books. I enjoyed exploring and getting lost when it comes to books and library.

What this KC Library lacks in size, they make up for in customer service and unique experiences. This library is on the cusp of Crossroads/Westside neighborhoods. The workers have always been amazing and had an abundance patience helping all with issues and finding the resources they need. This Library also doubles as a seed bank! So if you need any plant seed, check here and see what they have to offer. They also do classes related to gardening. They have a small adult section but once you get a library card, go online and reserve books and have them sent to this library. They have a robust cookbook section which is something I have taken advantage of several times.Plenty of tables to work or surf the internet. The atmosphere is always quiet and respectful which cultivates a environment in which all are welcome. Definitely glad I have this library in my neighborhood.
