One of my best friends was getting married and needed a DJ for the reception held at Longview Mansion in Lees Summit, MO. He had not planned well so it was something they forgot to do until a month before the wedding so we got on Google and searched for local DJ's. We called a few listed and most were somewhat rude stating they needed advance notice or wanted to charge twice as much for the wedding. We got a hold of Steve Weller at Kahuna Sound and he referred us to his partner who was extremely helpful and even helped us plan the music, lights and entire sound system with microphone for the wedding toast.At the reception they were very professional, arrived early and setup, let us provide some of our music and took requests from guest (sober and not so sober) throughout the night. The sound system was good, the lighting was perfect and the DJ helped make the evening a success. I recommend Kahuna Sound for any event, wedding or DJ need since they were professional, affordable, honest and exceeded our expectations.

They just did our wedding on June 14 and were everything a DJ should be. There was wind for the ceremony, he did absolutely everything he could not to pick it up! It ended up being perfect! He also did the reception and everything was on point. A lot of DJs I've experienced have either talked too much or come off creepy. He handled the reception very smoothly and was just fun. He talked when he needed to and all the other times played great music. Everyone was dancing! A lot of people came up to him asking for requests or change of song and all I noticed was excellent patience. The pricing was great! Much more reasonable than other places we looked. Everyone had a wonderful time. I would recommend them and only them.
