My husband and I were looking for a good, flea market type store and it was great. I found numerous things! It's probably got something for everyone. The owner and her nephews were very kind. We will be back!

This breaks my heart to leave this review. I'm an avid thrifter and a supporter of local businesses. I shop weekly at City Thrift just down the sidewalk from Junk Appeal. I hadn't been into JA for a while after a previous uncomfortable incident, but needed some plants so I headed down the walk for a quick peek before they closed. The cashier was outside smoking on the bench right at the entrance. She did gesture her cigarette away from the door, but looked annoyed about it. The bald gentleman that I always see in the store was standing inside speaking with another customer. I wasn't trying to listen, but I was within feet of their conversation so it was impossible not to hear. They were discussing politics...illegal immigrants at the time I walked in. I heard the customer say she wished we (USA) could help the kids in the foster system first. The employee said, "I think they should all just get a bullet to the head." He began talking about the "New World Order" that was coming and the political conversation just continued. I knew this store had political opinions due to their entire booth of Trump merch, but I've always preferred to leave politics out of junkin'. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs, but as a customer who just wants to support the local economy, I don't need to know what the political belief of a business is. One reason I did stop going here for a while was the fact they sold pornography openly on the lower shelves of a glass case (on the same east/west row as the carts) without so much as a discreet cover over the magazines...all while playing K Love Radio on the speakers. My friend's 8 year old son was greeted face to cover with the magazines and we left that day. I was raised a Christian and it hurts my heart that a business who plays Christian music employs and condones conversation about murdering immigrants. The Bible I studied speaks of Jesus and his love for everyone...including immigrants. I believe he calls for us to love them as we love ourselves. Overall my last few experiences haven't been good and this will be the last time I shop here. I have well over 100 plants in my home, the bulk of them I purchased from the plant lady there. I do love the plant lady's products, but I'll find a different source for plants from here on.

It's the place I go to find unique one of a kind items. It's where I go to get my Elvis things.

If there was a zero star rating I would have used it. I will never go back there due to the rudeness and unhelpfulness of the two front cashier people. They refused to wait on me in a timely manner (one was eating at the checkout and the other one just stood there and refused to make eye contact with me until it was obvious I wasn't leaving. I believe it was because I was the only one in the store wearing a mask, she was fine with the customer before me. They were complaining to some other person how hard January and February are for them with so few sales but it must not be bad enough yet if they can be so rude to a customer that they are NEVER going back. I will share my experience with all the folks I know.

This store has moved to I-70@Woods Chapel Rd in Blue Springs, behind QT. Bigger and better! Lots of fab stuff, vintage pieces and repurposed items, furniture pieces and collectibles. Open and airy, a virtual boutique full of goodies at great prices. My new favorite place!

I saw an ad for this place in a flier about junk markets. I love a good junk store, and it doesn't take a lot to win me over. I had high hopes for this place, and I probably shouldn't have had such high hopes. Anyway, I entered the store and noticed that it smelled like a wet basement. I am almost sure that any furniture or anything fabric (or even the record sleeves) will smell like this. The store has a lot of space, and it was fairly empty (maybe they are just getting started). Some things had prices; other items did not. All of the prices I saw were too high for the items. It was almost like Red Racks from across the street bought a building and expanded into it, while charging flea market prices. I will go back in a few months to see if it is still there, but it will take quite a bit to win me over this time.

Unfortunately the name of this place says it all. They quite literally sell junk. The owner(s) are less than reputable and engage in sketchy business practices with their bait and switch "refund policy" I would recommend that you stay far away form the business.

I visited this store in 2018 for the first time, the people working there were super nice and friendly, the store used to be full of great affordable deals.Fast forward 2024 i happened to be in the area and remembered this store, but this was different. I don't know if there is a new owner but their stuff is way overpriced, you are not getting a deal anymore. I was absolutely sad to see such a good place turn greedy for things that you could find at a garage sale.

I went here a couple years ago and thought it was a cute place but I just went back two weeks ago and it was nothing but junk. It was like going to a bad garage sale.
