Let's get ambiance out of the way. Nothing special or new. Feel kind of outdated.Complimentary bread is always nice to have 3.7 Seafood Bisque: Nice flavor could have been improved. Small chunks of Crab Meat on inside. 3.0 Bone In Ribeye: unlucky for us, one side of our steak was completely burnt. The char taste overpowered the steak. Also, in my opinion, it was not worth $80 3.3 Crab Cake: Nothing fantastic, very average Crab Cake taste. 1.0 Risotto: Don't get this as a side. The Risotto is very bland. It's not worth it as a side, please. Avoid 3.5 Veal Chop: This is my first time having Veal Chop, and it's surprisingly good. Don't know how it's supposed to taste like, but I'll describe it as a nice clean-cut Chop. 3.0 Scallops: Very mediocre. Ours was a little bit overcooked, but not worth in my opinion.Side Note: I don't want to be rude. Being as a server in the past, I know it's a lot of work, but having an odor smell from our server really made our dine in experience not fun. I'm not sure if the coworkers can't smell it, but as a fellow coworker to coworkers, you should let each other know if there's a smell. Every time the server walked to our table. I had to hold my breath sometimes to avoid the stench.

For a casino steakhouse, and a higher end casino at that, found inside Argosy Journey's just did not take me there. I wanted to be transported somewhere other than North of the River however, once inside my sad scallops and less than stellar service couldn't save this dinner even with glass after glass of low quality wine. The ambiance of the restaurant also is nothing to wonder at, it almost resembles an outdated theming found at a lower end Disney resort. I'm not sure if they were going for Indianan Jones or some sort of generic bad reinterpretation of Atlantis mixed with Africa. The borderlining on guady decor as well as the simplicity of the menu was for confusing also, do not in any capacity come to Journey's anticipating a Steak House because it doesn't resemble one in any way, shape or form. In the end, the menu reads also entirely American without any descriptions of spice or worldliness in any dish. I forgo the dismally small steak section of the menu and made the mistake of ordering seafood with a heavy risotto as the side and a Ceasar salad to come out first. While enjoying my wine, which also just a note the wine list was dismally short as well especially for a seafood pairing, our server arrived with the bread basket and salad starters. If there is one thing I can give Journey's marks on it was this salad course, without it I really would have considered a one star review which I rarely ever do. The Ceasar salad was a generous portion, was not overly salty but definitely had an anchovie tang in the Ceasar dressing, thick ribbon shavings of parmesan cheese and the crunchy housemade croutons were the perfect textual component to the salad. No complaints there. But, then onto the main course, a nearly $50 plate of food that was not at all in my opinion executed correctly. It also took incredibly long to arrive at the table and we had reservations near the end of journey service so, not only was the kitchen slow at the time we put in our order they were expecting us based on our reservation time. Once the scallops did arrive upon inspection they looked alright, buttery but the overall beige color of the plate from the scallops to the sauce surrounding them to the side of risotto was very bland looking. However, once I cut into one I immediately could tell they were lacking of sear of any kind but the kicker was they were not cleaned correctly and seemed sandy and gritty. Not a pleasant texture at all. The sauce was trying so hard to be rich but, seemed to not be fooling anyone because in reality it was pretty thin and tasted mostly of butter and/or heavy cream. There wasn't any real seasoning, no real herb presence, no acidity zilch zero nothing going on in the creativity department. It was quite a sad little sauce with some even sadder scallops underneath it. So, pretty much after that I was stuck with a gloopy gloomy pile of risotto which also, unsurprisingly wasn't that seasoned but was edible. Overall the value of the meal was definitely lacking, I felt like no only did the casino take my money but so did Journey's Steakhouse.

We were at the Argosy for a little staycation and we had dinner at the Journey Steakhouse. Overall, we had a good experience. I started with the sangria, and my husband had the old fashioned. Both drinks were pretty good. For dinner, I ordered the boneless ribeye with mashed potatoes, while my husband ordered the ribs with a side of fries. We both agreed that the Caesar salad was awesome! The portion was also large for a starter. The bread was really good too. They gave us a bread basket with a few different types of warm bread, and the whipped butter that came with it was perfect. My steak was a perfect medium; juicy and crispy on the outside. My husband's ribs were fall off the bone tender, but did not have the smokey flavor he wanted. I liked my mashed potatoes, but my husband was disappointed with his steak fries. They were really large potato wedges instead of fries, and pretty dry. The restaurant is definitely casual, which I liked. The service was a little inconsistent- my husband had to ask for bread, and our server got pretty busy with other tables towards the end of our dinner. But overall we enjoyed our meal, and would recommend coming here for dinner if you're at the Argosy.

Although the gambling part of the evening ended up being a bust, dinner was KILLER. I was very surprised at how hood the food is at Journey. We started off with the crab cakes appetizer. They are generously sized and stuffed with crab. There was very litter filler, so I def felt like I received my moneys worth. They were probably the best crab cakes I've ever had.Next up, the hubs opted for the seafood bisque. Rich, creamy and full of seafood chunks. He went with the ribeye and a side of wild mushrooms. The steak was cooked perfectly and had a true 'flame grilled' flavor. The mushrooms were perfect and very flavorful.I was nearly full from the crab cakes, so I went with an add on of scallops. They were massive and perfectly seared. He hubs was envious, so I shared.Lastly, SAVE ROOM for the chocolate bag. Holy smokes - it is D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S. It's also massive. Seriously, it's enough for 4 people. We took most of it home and nibbled on it the next few days.If you're heading to Argosy, make a RSVP and tear yourself to a great meal.

After spending a small fortune in KC's worst casino, we were given a dinner voucher as a birthday gift for Journey's Steakhouse. I would have been just as happy with a voucher for Mcdonalds' as the food we were served was not fit for a dog to eat. I ordered Ribs - so if you like your ribs BURNT - PLASTERED WITH SOME SORT OF BBQ SAUCE THEN RE-BURNT, a side order of steak fries sounded good at the time, but when the food showed up - not sure what they tried to do with the potato as it was the worse potato or "fries" I have ever tasted in my life- WOW! Well I can say that the water was great.. enjoy your next dinner at Journey Steakhouse maybe by that time they will get new cooks, new management, or new selections for the over priced meals offered.

Went here for the first time, as I don't casino much (if I can make a verb out of that). I was part of our family group of six not overly easy people. We were served by Shannon who did an amazing job, suggesting things, and being very attentive. I had the prime rib that which very good. I would have done five stars, but I had the Creme Brûlée for dessert, which was very good, but should be called something else, perhaps, fruit topped custard. So, very good, and had an enjoyable time.

This was my first time eating here and I was very disappointed. I sat at the bar and ordered the ribeye, cooked medium. It took longer than it should have to get my meal. The spinach salad came out very quickly and it was good. Then I waited a good 20-25 minutes for the rest of my meal after I finished my salad. My steak came out very well done. It was tough and chewy. I ate a couple of bites and was done with it. The bartender, who was great, asked how the steak was and she looked at it and said, wow, that's well done. She offered to have a new steak prepared, but I didn't want to wait again. It was the worst steak I have ever gotten at a steak house. The bartender did take $20 off of my bill, which was appreciated. I expected much more from an expensive restaurant. I won't be back.

Horrible service - had to get our own water refills. We also had to obtain our own utensils and napkins. The manager made us feel like we should have done more to let him know the experience wasn't great. Most bizarre experience we have ever had in a restaurant. Would not recommend for anyone. Very weird
